I first heard this story in High School,I have no idea whether its true or not but I'm writing down the way I remember being told to me.
There was a house here in Castro Valley that many thought was not only haunted but believed that something far darker that ghosts inhabited it.To begin with,back in 1968 a group of teenagers went into what was then an empty house,they used as a clubhouse for while,that is until February of 1970,one of the teens found an old book on black magic in a trunk in the attic of the house.He believed the book at the time was harmless and started fooling around with spells and incantations,still believing that no harm would come,this is until the day he convinced the other teens to join him in an experiment with a ouija board.The teen believe that he could open a porthole to the spirit world and the spirits would grant him favors.In preparation of the ceremony,which involved passages from the black mass,it would require the use of black candles and would also that they draw a six foot pentagram with a three foot circle inside of it on the floor.With the ouija board in the center of the three foot circle and a black candle at each of the five points of the pentagram they would call to the one mentioned in the old book,they would summon the darkest,most evil spirit of all.The teen assumed the devil would grant him power to rule over the other teens,never once did it enter the teen's mind that he would be putting his own life in danger,danger of demonic possession.At the height of the ceremony something went terribly wrong causing the power hungry teen to fly into a rage,picking a large butcher knife he slaughtered his friends and with their blood wrote and drew satanic symbols all over the walls and once he was done he took his own life.In the police report it stated that because of the brutality of crime they may never fully understand just what actually did happen in that house. In the summer of 1972 a family of three moved into the house,because of the powers that be the new owner were never told of the events two years before.All was well with the new owners until december of 1973 when the mother announced that she was expecting.She began to have health problems and in june of 1974 she gave birth to a baby girl but the birth had taken a toll on the new mother,so they hired a live housekeeper to help out with the new baby.Things began to happen three months after the housekeeper moved in,the wife began to imagine hearing voices,voices that were telling her that her husband was having an affair with the housekeeper,that he planned to kill his wife,dismember her and bury her in a flower bed in the backyard.The voices told her that she would be justified in killing her husband and the housekeeper,she began to have periods where she would black out,sometimes for hours,never remembering what she did during that time.On Halloween night of 1974 everything came to a head,there was a huge arguement between the husband and wife,the next morning the wife woke to find her husband gone and she herself covered in blood.In a state of shock she made her way into the kitchen,opened a cupboard to get a glass for water,when she opened the cupboard there were the heads of the housekeeper and her husband staring down at her.The police were called and it was determined that the heads were not cut off but rather they were torn off,it was further determined that wife did not possess the strength it would have taken to tear their heads off.The police took the wife away and sometime later she killed herself.There have been many people who have believed that because of the teens messing with the occult the house itself had became possessed and in the fall of 1976 a fire of unknown origin cause the house to burn completely to the ground,its ashes were then sprinkled with salt.Today nothing is left except an empty lot and perhaps the memory will serve as a warning to all not to mess with things better left alone. Just one final thought,there is no official report of this.nothing was ever filed. *
