the latest real player has a built in feature that lets you download flash embedded videos.

Download that and all you need to do is hover your mouse over the video, and in the top right a little box will pop up with download on it, just click on that and it will save to flv at your specified folder

I think those instructions apply to internet explorer and not Firefox. Any chance someone could post the downloaded file in this thread, or the splits if it's too big. or maybe even this one as well?

Sorry, I haven´t any software to convert it to wmv or something else. I remaned it from flv to wmv, just because I can´t handle it to upload flv. So, remane it back to flv and have fun😉

The site I use for these is http://max.subfighter.com/flv/downloader.php It tends to be able to download just about everything. Only for a few places have I had to resort to the IE method (Firefox stores its cached files in odd ways and is difficult to recover from).

It works pretty well with most if not all the most popular sites, although I do have issues with it with my dialup connection, such as it will sometimes claim to have downloaded the FLV file but it will turn out that it saved a zero-byte file. Generally the larger the file, or perhaps if my system is running low on RAM at the time, it will be more likely to "cheat" like this. This may be much less likely to happen with a broadband connection though. But the program also allows one to copy the direct URL to the file to paste into another download manager program, which sometimes works better with larger files.

In any case, this is just one method I use (generally for smaller files in my case, thanks to my slow connection speed), along with a number of other "tricks" I sometimes have to employ (such as keepvid and other sites, or first downloading the file to my own personal online storage space which allows me to resume an interrupted download when using a download manager, for a couple of examples) to accommodate some of the odd quirks of many of the popular media sites.

Now if only I could find a way to reliably download really big files with my dialup connection from all those flaky free file transfer sites (such as Rapidshare and that really flaky MegaUpload site)...
