Over on the HITW gang site they have pictures of her with a gash on her left big toe and blood all over the floor. What happened? They don't have a forum over there so I asked here. Figured somebody here might know.

She's one of those celebrities who's only good at being famous. No real talent to speak of, but she's good at being famous.... much like Paris Hilton.

Well seeing as they make a sizeable community in America especially in California, I would think people would actually bother educating themselves...

And as to sense of humour : Tommy Tiernan is funny, mocking people's 4000 year old heritage isn't really.

Forgive me if I'm a prude, I just don't support picking on an ethnic minority as people have done to Armenians (for those too ignorant to know, Bush candidates have publicly mocked their named and called them liars regarding the genocide).

You know, I mean next thing everyone "lightens up" and starts calling the Irish drunks and mics, can you say Black and Tans anyone?

Here's the important question. Who here gives two craps if she's Armenian? Now another question. Who thinks it's funny that her name, at face value, regardless of heritage, sounds very similar to a race of aliens from Star Trek?

Secondly to my knowledge I am not aware of many Armenian members here on Tickletheater, there are of course, but not many.

Now as to giving a crap whether she is Armenian, anyone who loves their culture does, you know, I mean I'm sure existing since 2468 B.C, hugely influencial in ancient Greece and Persia and being the first nation to adopt Christian (301 A.D) doesn't make them historic at all.

And no the Black and Tans were a paramilitary force that burned down Cork city and killed Irish civilians purely of basis of their ethnicity. But you knew that of course, its great humour to you I suppose 😉
 
Is there a reason why this matters so much to you? Someone else made a personal attack against her, insinuating she was a *****, but you ignored that. Instead, it was easier to start a whine fest because I made a joke about the fact her name sounds like a fake alien race from a 90s TV show.

Seriously, you're the one who needs to grow up. YOU brought racism into something where there was none. YOU threw the first stone. YOU opened this can of worms by acting like a big baby.

Yes there is a very good reason, they've been through more than most Americans (Black and Latino included) have been through, they don't need further discrimination. How would you like if I said that about a white or black actor? I promise you if that were the case everyone would immediately attack me, I fainly remember a situation where someone went ballistic because some dude in a play on words use the words "black feet" witha disease (in bad taste yes) and he didn't mean anything racist, but alot of people here went apeshit. But if its an Armenian, Any other Middle Eastener or Latino, its all good, we can just discriminate as we like

I noticed someone called her a *****, this combined with attacks on her last name and so forth (kinda like a redneck going "you've gotta funny name") and combined that other Middle Easteners have faced discrimination of TT (notably a very horrible joke titled "What motivates an Arab Terrorist") makes you kinda wonder.

But anycase I won't waste my breath, its just sad you don't even know of the minorities in your own country.
