Recently youtube has removed the 'classic' embedding option, and replaced it with their new one.
The problem is that the new form of embedding relies upon IFrames. And that is a real problem. IFrames are useful, but they are very easy to exploit for not so good reasons, they can be used to force mall-ware, viri, and other things onto systems that allow them. You may remember the video/audio chatroom we had a few years back? That used IFrames, and the Iframe adds that ran under it became a virus vector that infected many of our users.
We have disabled the ability to use IFrames on the forum for this reason. We feel it exposes our users to too much risk and possible damage. We regret that it forces a less then perfect user experience when posting videos, but it's what we feel offers the best balance between security and use. As always you can post a url link to a video you wish to post, and they will still work.
