How do you find out if a co-worker is ticklish? The way I do it is I do the sawing-the-woman-in-half dream. I tell them that I had a dream about them being my asst. I saw them in half and tickle their feet. Or I ask them what they would do for 30 million dollars. I give them a list andthe last one is "Would you allow yourself to be tickled for two hours?"
Yes, I know. Give them a quick tickle on the sides. Well that one got me fired from my last job.

i know your not looking for an advisory warning...and this is a fun idea for a thread in the fantasy form..but as a person that used to be a manager and used to see lots of sexual harrasment claims you have to be extremely careful with this sort of thing. i've seen people get canned for alot less than tickling in the name of sexual harrasment...better know the person well...i've tickled co-workers playfully before. They knew me well and just took it as playfulness as it was meant to be. Still i know that it could be a can of worms just waiting to be opened...so be cautious and respectful to the people you work with, and for gods sake don't try it with someone that you dont know particulary well.

I understand people's good intentions to caution fellow ticklers about the dangers of tickling at work. But I am of the opinion that if you do not have enough common sense to understand what makes people uncomfortable and when you are stepping out of the boundary, you indeed deserve to be fired.

There is not a bullet-proof technique to find if someone is ticklish without reprecutions. Hence, I usually wait to know the person well enough and then either include the topic in a conversation of use playful tickling to find out.

Your way is probably more direct and to the point, but after you find out, what do you plan to do with the information? If you do not know the person well enough, then you are out of luck. You still have to wait to be able to include tickling in your social interaction with that person.

Usually tickling is not a good thing to do in an office unless you are completely isolated and the other person does not mind. You are basically using other people's establishment to engage in a non-work related activity. Any company will find it against their policies and will take action to prevent that from repeating. This is the same reason why browing the web for personal purposes, having sex, masturbating, or stealing office supplies are also not tolerated at the workplace.

I do strongly believe that there are certain jobs that allow you to have more tickling opportunities than others. It is just a matter of HAVING COMMON SENSE and using it appropriately.

here's a surefire way, if they are sort of a friend of yours and you want to get to know them better, heres what i do... email them a survey with like 50 normal questions on it like name, height, favorite food, nicest thing someones done for you. you know very normal getting to know you stuff, and in the middle of the survey, sneak in on a scale of 1-10 how ticklish are you and where? unless they say "secret" or something you'll have your answer, i've done this with a lot of hot female friends and got great results, good luck!

hehe, I've done this a couple of times. Every time I get the quiz back with that question removed and all the numbers changed to make it appear as if the tickling question was never asked...

I bring it up in casual conversation. Usually, people will just tell you. If curiosity has overcome you, just ask!!! Worst case scenario, they'll say that they are extremely ticklish and can't stand to be tickled. Which, of course, makes you want to tickle them even more 😉 And so it begins. The quest to find another ticklphile on the planet that will reveal themselves. Just be careful. Lawsuits can happen if not handled properly. Just my two cents.
