How many people are on your Ignore List?

I have a relatively low threshold to put somebody on my Ignore List, although almost all such decisions are made while I'm in the Politics & Religion Forum.

I am curious as to how common this is here. Go ahead and vote on how many people are on your Ignore List.

As of now, there are 58 people on my Ignore List. I'm about to visit the P&R Forum, so that may increase momentarily.

Am I on your ignore list? I haven't added anyone to mine. I have a high threshold, in the P&R forum. It would be different if they bombarded my PM box though.

No, you are not. You are sometimes naive, but I do not regard you as malicious in any way.

PS: If you had been on my Ignore List, then I would have never seen your post and answered it.

This is a forum, and everyone has an opinion. I also understand that not everyone agrees with all the opinions. So with that being said I have no one on a Ignore List because I want to hear what the other members have to say. Doesn't matter if I agree or not.

Yup, pretty much how I feel about forums 🙂 I use ABP to block annoying / excessively large forum signatures sometimes, but that's about it.

Perhaps I don`t spend enough time logged on, but I`ve never seen anyone get malicious with you in a thread, Milagros. The P&R section of the forum is what it is. We all have our opinions and beliefs and I`ve yet to see anyone acknowledge that they are wrong. There`s radicals on both sides of the fence, and yes they are quite vocal, but I think the mods have stepped in when things get too testy. At the end of the day the only real voice you have is your vote in an election. 58 people on your ignore seems like an incredibly high number.

I don't have any people on the Ignore List, I know that people have different opinions in politics, and they should express their opinion by voting.

In three or four cases, people actually have been malicious, or at the very least, highly insulting to me.

In most cases the people go onto my list because they express political views that I find odious.

I hate to see our nation so divided these days, and the P&R section is no different. There`s landmines all over the place. But no one forces us to venture into those waters.....its swim at your own risk. A few years ago I had the pleasure of meeting you at one of the parties at Passive Arts in L.A. Besides being a nice man, you came across as very educated and well versed. But lately you seem to be ill tempered when someone disagree`s with you in a political thread, and you are quick with the trigger in placing them on your ignore list. In a way it makes you look weak, but many of us know you are quite capable of handling yourself in a debate. Even if I don`t agree with you, I still enjoy reading what you have to say.

That was the case for 3 or 4 people. The other 50+ were just too annoying to read.

I was very glad to meet you at that gathering at Passive Arts.

It is sad to note that this is the only prediction I can make with confidence about the 2012 election: It will be one of the nastiest, dirtiest, meanest elections in living memory.

I'm not really concerned with how I look. The idea is that I won't enjoy browsing through the P&R Forum if I have to read the rantings of bigots. (No, not all of the people on my Ignore List are bigots, but at least 20 of them are, IMO.)
