how many ticklephiles ARE there really?

Good question...wish I had a good answer. I don't think there are as many ticklephiles as there are other types, such as nail files or wood files. 😛
On the other hand, being the serious 'lee that I am, I guess I'm a ticklephile and a nailphile...😉

With a world population of 6 billion, surely it's at the very least 1 out of every 1000 people, for 6 million. Probably more than that.
just 'cause a body's into tickling don't mean that they a)like bein' online, b)are bold enough to post or c)want to out themselves. The folks responding to this site by registering on it seem to be a small percentage of the whole.
'Sides, there's a variety of degrees of interest, here. For some, tickling is ALWAYS sexual. I know a lady like this. For others, it's casual unless the 'lee interests 'em that way. I know lots of us like that. For the most o' the rest o' the planet, it's a casual form of play all the time. Then there's those poor folks that find it a cruel torture, either 'cause o' mean sibs and/or parents or 'cause they're way too ticklish.
Do keep in mind that some of us didn't start out interested in this. Some were "converts" for tickling, brought about by someone significant sharing the fun with them while they were already aroused. I know a bunch of these, too. Heck, in my youth, way back when, I helped start a few of these. Some of these STAY interested after they separate.
The trick, knowin' all this, is to find those folks that either ARE into this already or are willing converts. Either way works. It's just much simpler when you know already. Simple is sometimes overrated, though. "The journey is the reward" and all that.
I'm glad I met mine online, and that we're together and happy. It's possible, and has worked for a number of us. Small, in the sea of faces to meet, but it CAN happen. Can't happen if you don't try, though.
