You've probably seen a few sites with a video that you'd DESPERATELY want, but unfortunately it doesn't have the option to download it and sites like
keepvid.com and clibnabber.com don't just recognize the sites and the protection on those sites is too great for them.
Well... I found a solution that seems to work on EVERY streaming website!
On FF (Mozilla Firefox):
Vista/Win7:
Navigate to
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\something.default\Cache\
Read steps 3-7
XP:
Navigate to
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
Read steps 3-7
On IE (Microsoft Internet Explorer):
1. Watch the full video on Internet Explorer first. Wait till it gets finished.
2. Once video is completed, head to Tools >> Internet Options >> Settings >> View Files
3. You can find a large sized file there with unknown file type and long file name.
4. Copy that file and paste in a reachable location on your computer, ex : desktop, my documents etc
5. Rename that file to something with .flv or .mp4 extension, ex : Whatevervideo.flv
6. Play this video using VLC Media Player or FLV player.
7. You are done.
PS. I don't have WinXP, so the WinXP directory path may not be valid, so please do correct.
I hope you people like what I've found out! 🙂
EDIT: One site (pornhub) somehow made the file vanish after it completed 100%, so you're only chance on sites like that is to be fast and let it stream almost to the end and then copy+paste the "uncomplete" file as fast as you can. I don't know where it got to, since the video could still be watched.
SOLUTION: It's in your Temporary Files, to browse to the "Temp" directory in both Vista/Win7 and WinXP, just open up an Explorer window and write "%temp%" to the address bar without the quotes. And by Explorer I don't mean Internet Explorer. I mean the one you use to browse your files (explorer.exe)
