I kinda find it offensive.

No really it is pretty offensive. It's really puts an unfavorible light on men cause it makes it seem like we really don't do shit in a relationship at all. And to place all of ones happiness on one partners shoulder is increadibly selfish.

If two people can realize they can work in a relationship, it's a blessing. But no one by any means is perfect. I mean to be honest if I had to remember ever last detail of those pieces of advice, I would be driven into frustration and dissapointment cause it makes me feel if I can't get it all perfect 100% of the time then i'm shit. And between me and another's happiness, it's healthier to start with myself first. (Yeah it sounds selfish but you weren't put on the earth soely to keep one person happy reguardless of your own).

It should really be more about the compramise and not what society feels is right. What are we robots? Spining random numbers in a computers database?

Shouldn't those advices really end like "We're glad to have each other"? Not "...be glad that she loves you enough to call and talk to you".

This one just made me laugh for logical reasons. "The ways to be respectful of a female are universal in the United States".

But anyway, i'm all for respect and chiverly. But don't make one partner or the other the workhorse and stablehand.

Being a natural gentleman I would like to believe that this information is correct.
but this is not the Victorian era. And it's not so great to get dating advice from your great grandpa.
It's great to act with etiquette to show you're not a total dump, but most of that doesn't
really fly for modern society. This is living to the "all girls are queens and princesses"
logic that most women don't follow after new waves of female rights movements.
It's not to say that it's not bad to do some of these, but the societies working
women have a strong sense of independence, so carrying them around like the
articles require don't fly anymore.
It's best to be nice. That's all you need to be.

I agree with the first two responses, not that I'm really offended by it, but a lot of it is outdated and the rest is basically saying "be good." Kinda pointless
