Can someone provide us with a human nerve map, a picture. I tried finding one with google, but ended up finding nothing.

I'm trying to find a map that shows in different colors which parts are more sensitive than the others. I know that this varies between people, but just interested to know what science says about "ticklish spots" 😛

Maybe we'd even find new spots! 😉

the hollywood brother seems to be interested in this as well. the hollywood brother hopes someone posts this

I hesitantly offer this artist's diagram of Rick's ticklish spots)i.e.--EVERYWHERE.

Look up "sensory nerve maps"

Not all nerves control sensation. Some deliver impulses for motor output.

Stick with the sensory, and you might have a better shot finding what you want. I don't know how much research is out there on this particular subject, especially because everyone is different...but best of luck in your quest!!!

You're looking for variations on the following...

You won't find maps of the nerves, but you will find diagrams of the human body distorted to illustrate the relative sensitivity of each body part.

I can't seem to find the best one online... it's in one of those old Life science books--"The Body".

The diagrams above correlate with the sensory homunculus...

Check it out...hooray for science!

Again, I don't believe you can find what you are looking for specifically related to ticklishness...you can try looking up pathways for the pacinian corpuscles in the skin that transmit pain (as ticklishness is on the same pathway) but, just like everyone has their own level of pain tolerance, everyone has their more/less/not at all ticklish spots. You'd have to find a way to map out a specific person...and I do not know if the technology exists to do this as of yet...

But...good luck in your quest!!!

Do you mean something like a dermatome guide that shows which areas are controlled by which cranial nerve?

Mmm...dermatomes...

*throws up a hearty C6 Ky's way*

Thumbs up, friend! 😀

That's awesome. I've heard that blind people, asked to sculpt a human, create something like that. I've never seen a rendition of it.

The surface of the eye, though, is extremely sensitive. And not just with pain; if you have two pieces of dirt in your eye, you can usually say with certainty that there are two pieces of dirt in there.
