Humiliated at the nail shop...again.

I did not have a chance to post this before I left for California, but I wanted to share with all of you. Those at the West Coast gathering last Saturday heard this already.

Last Friday, I went to the same nail shop to get a pedicure before my trip. This place has 6 people working there and 4 are men. Apparently, they remembered me from last time because they were all smiles when I arrived. *groan*

The place was packed and there was a large tv in the shop tuned to CNN. Everyone was following the war. I knew I had to keep control this time because it would have been inappropriate to be laughing uncontrolably.

I was doing pretty well, focusing on the tv, until the guy started exfoliating my right arch. I had a small water bottle with me and was holding it in my left hand. I did not realize how tightly I was squeezing the bottle and was desperately trying to concentrate on the tv. All of a sudden, the top of the bottle popped off and water flew out and drenched the guy doing my pedicure.

So much for not causing antiher scene. 😱

Luckily, he found it funny. I think my days of professional pedicures are over. 🙁

All I want to know is....

Where the heck did you find a nail shop that had not one, but FOUR guys that work there?! Damn, I'd be giving that place SO much business!! I've never seen a guy in a nail boutique before...only middle aged women with names like "Marge". You're a lucky girl Jen and I think you'd be nuts to stop going there. Just be smarter about it...next time leave your hands free to grip the arm rest 😉

Heh. That's hilarious Jen. I'm also known at my local pedicure place. One time my friends showed up with cameras to take pictures of me trying to stay in control and failing miserably. So there are snapshots of me with a scrunched up face and clenched little fists tacked to corkboards in various dorm-rooms across the country. I'm just glad CNN wasn't on, as it was with you! Mwah!
