I Am Am AM So Disappointed

I have tried for several days to view clips, new ones, old ones, went to page 62 back in 2001, I must say I have had troubles EVERY TIME.
I cannot believe the clip section here is so zero. I have had great, terrific luck at the similar TickleTheater !!

What oh what can be the trouble?? By the by, I also notice what seems to be a zillion posts by others who are struggling, too, to so much as see one single clip.

95% of clips here work for me. have you checked you have the latest versions of RealPlayer (www.real.com), Quicktime (www.apple.com) and Windows Media (www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia)?

also it's doubtful that the old links to clips will work because files have probably been deleted etc since then.

Tickle Theater is able to allow clips to be uploaded to their server and keep them there. We don't do that here. It's simply too expensive and the load would seriously constrict a server that already has a ton of stuff on it...not to mention the risk of infected files that run rampant elsewhere. Instead, folks post links to where you can get clips they host themselves, many in yahoo groups.

Very few servers allow hotlinking. So you will rarely see a link to the file itself. Keep in mind also that many of those who post here change their material on a regular basis...further reason why you won't find what the post is inviting you to DL if it's more than a week or two old.

If you're looking for a specific clip or clips, feel free to check my listing HERE. Just keep in mind that it's a listing you can post requests from and not the clips themselves. You may also want to keep in mind that, unlike Tickle Theater and other places, I will NOT share clips I don't have the right to share.

I am a regualr downloader at the Theater, and Ive never saw a clip that was unapproved for sharing. All of the clips that Ive got from them were grabbed the same way the Forums are, by the members of TT from Yahoo groups, as well as other places.

In reguard to the post subject, it is probably the two reasons that are listed in the above posts. Upgrade your media players. Ive also found that alot of the sites in the community are set up so poorly, that even if you can find the video, it might not be the right one. (im not talking about the clips sharing sites, like mine, but the actual producer sites, they are poorly setup.)

The theater has a LOT of pay site material being posted. I understand what you're saying. I've found pay site material in many of the yahoo groups. But, some places are very obviously ONLY pay site and people know that. That means that their material should not be shared...no matter where you found it. So, if a clip from Real Tickling, FM Concepts, etc. is posted, it should be pretty obvious that it doesn't belong. Shouldn't it?

If we don't protect the rights of our producers, they'll simply stop producing and we won't have ANYTHING to share. Then people might understand why they shouldn't have been posting their material in the first place. There's plenty of stuff out there that's free to be shared. We don't need to post material that we don't have a right to post. Let people go and pay for it like they should. I have a ton of pay site material in my own clips collection...much of it obtained in places other than the pay sites. My policy is to simply keep that material to myself. The only way it gets shared is if I don't know where it's from and that it's pay site material.

There IS a certain responsibility that should be observed in sharing material. One is to be sure the material is not infected with a virus...as is often the case in clips obtained in yahoo groups, kazza, etc. The other is to not pass along material that you shouldn't have had access to in the first place. Just my opinion. But, I thnk it's a valid one.

I am not sure I am understanding this statement...It is OK to take the media that has not been paid for, but just don't share it with anyone else? Sorry, that doesn't ring true with me. What if someone steals a loaf of bread, but since the person doesn't give any to anyone else, it is OK?

How about we all just pay for what we have / want, the way everything else in the world works?

The few realtickling clips I have downloaded from the Theater are just that, clips. Not full (short 5 minutes) movies, they are the same clips that are available free from either the website, or the producers posting on forums like these.

Thanks! Your observation and point, while based on a bit of misunderstanding, are completely valid. I should have made that clearer. Yes, I have DLed clips that were originally from pay sites. No, I did not know until I watched them that they were restricted material. A lot of folks rename clips/pics according to their own filing methods. When they turn up in other places, there's no way to know that it's pay site material until you actually see it. There are also companies whose file names I'm not familiar with. So, there are times when I DL their material and don't recognize it as such until later. (I'm learning more of those names as I work on the video clips directory.) I make a point of NOT DLing anything that comes from pay sites when I know that's what it is. I know it doesn't stop the abuse. But, I don't have to join in it.

OK, so I checked them out. Half way through the TOS, I found the following...

In addition to the above, User shall not upload onto their hostultra web space any of the following:
audio or video files of any type this includes but is not limited to .wma .wmv .wav .mp3 .avi .mpg .asf .mov (however flash and midi files are allowed);
spanned archives such as such as .z01 .rar .ace;
any binary files that are not linked to an html page on the Site;
sites which contain only (or mostly) downloadable files;
download sites of any kind, including but not limited to, shareware, freeware, trialware, demos, warez, appz, gamez, iso, cracks;
photo albums or TGPs;

It also limits file size to 1 M. So, I guess that idea is shot...at least as far as a free site goes. lol Thanks for the attempt, though. I got some b'day bucks. Maybe I'll look at doing the least expensive pay plan, since those rules don't apply there.

Hehe, I feel extremly stupid, I dont even know which company hosts my site.lol. Hostultra used to, but the movie upload thing made me switch to Web1000. I have a 2.2 MB video site, and I do remember the file size limit being a little larger than I thought. Anyway, http://www.bedclip.com. They also have webmaster resources, including some sponsers where you could make some cash, then possibly go to the .com in the future.
