I am boycotting Yahoo!

I am getting pretty sick of Yahoo! and Yahoo! Groups. Without warning, and without warrent they have blocked my Yahoo! email and also have blocked my account to Yahoo! Groups, stating that I was sending mass spam.

The only messages I have posted have been to either promote my tickling website (which is clearly on-topic) and to promote our yearly North Texas Gathering (once again on-topic).

What has me baffled is that I have reported blantant spam on Yahoo! Groups to the proper Yahoo! authorites, (on many different occasions) but they were too busy digging the crap out of their ass to do anything about them.... but they have all the free time in the world to close my account when I have done nothing to violate their TOS policy.

I have notifed Yahoo of my severe displeasure with their antics and unless they restore my account by 12p tomorrow and issue an apology to me, I will never ***ever*** again do business with Yahoo! or any of their sponsors, advertisers, and/or subsidaries.

I hear ya, TM. Yahoo really does stink at times. And, AFA their DSL...they told an elderly neighbor of ours that it would work find and give her significantly greater speed, even though she has a dinosaur of a computer. It didn't work worth shit on there...as I'd warned her before she asked me to install it. We wasted several hours (over the course of a couple of weeks) between the install time and trying to get it to run properly. I finally deleted it and cleaned things up a bit to make her AOL run a little better. Talk about jerks! These people knew damned well that it wouldn't work properly on her system. They just wanted her money.

They're nothing but fucking hypocrites. They refuse to act against the real spammers, and come after us for doing nothing wrong.

😀 I found that Smart Groups My Site Space and 1Asphost andHost Ultra are more reliable than Yahoo Groups but for their free members they do not allow media files, just image files and text (jpg,gif). 😀

Well, I will give them until 12 Noon tomorrow 27Oct to redeem themselves and issue an apology to me. If they fail to do so, I will cancel my Yahoo DSL, and will never again do business with them, nor their sponsors.

If this is how they treat customers who have done nothing wrong, then they do not deserve my hard-earned dollar.

I agree, Mike. And I have reported many cases of out-right, blantant spam to Yahoo, and each time it has fallen upon deaf ears. But the thing that strikes me a wrong way, is I have never sent any spam, and in fact the boards that I have run, I have made it my damnest to keep spammers away.....

and yet, they choose to close my account. This is as hypocritical as one can be! If Yahoo fails to re-instate my account and issue an apology, I will tell themn to cancel my Yahoo DSL service and I will go with Comcast or Verizon!

If this is how a company plans on treating clients, then they should not even be in business to start with!

Tomrrow, I will re-open North Texas Tickling, but under SmartGroups (be sure and check the links section). I have emailed Yahoo, but thus far, they are choosing not to respond to my questions.

If they do not resolve this issue to my satisfaction by 12pm tomorrow (Oct27), Yahoo and all of their sponsors will be dead to me.
