I am going to leave the tickling community

I have decided to do this within the period of one year and a half. During that time, I have decided to put into motion that will benefit this community.
An online institute for tickling. One that new tickling inclined persons and veteran tickling inclined persons alike to view, and study.

I plan to collaborate extensively with any persons interested in helping with this. I will have more information tomorrow.

On a side note, I know how many people are going to think, "this is too complicated and it would take a while to be done." or why are you so interested in doing this?". Well, I have time. So, please, if you want to help, Send me a Private Message and I will reply accordingly.

No, I am just going to leave the community. But before I do this, I am going to finish up a few things and complete this project which has been rolling in my head. So, I am going to leave this online institute as just a small helpful piece and collection of information for the people currently here and people in the future to observe, and understand, and then make a decision based on a very well and sound understanding of what goes on.

So I am not leaving to do this. I am doing this then leaving.

So the tickling was pretty much a phase. A six year phase but a phase none the less. If I do decide to return, and I very well may, I will just return, and do what I would need to do to do so. But for the moment, after these loose ends are tied up, I will just take my leave.

hmmm I don't know how you can just turn off your desire to tickle as thought it is a phase....six years is a long time....it's not kind of like I liked cheese and tomato sandwhiches for six years then stopped eating them...surely it's more complex than that. I tried to give it up and deny it - but it was always there lurking in my subconscious...and...well...I could not hide it...my tickle fetish is just something I will have to live with for the rest of my life. Over the years, I have thought this is probably more pervasive than ticklers like myself. I literally cannot remember a time when it didn't cause the one eyed general to stand up and salute. However, if you look at a *lot* of posters, you will find they are like a firestorm for a year or so, and then you never hear from them again. I think that is more standard than the lifelong fetishists.

I also think that a lot of true fetishists are lurkers. Look at me, I have been here five years, and have barely 200 posts. I visit here at least five times a week, though. I bet if you did a random check of members here or on the TMF, you would find a lot that joined five years ago, have less than ten posts, and last visited today.

I can give you my theory on why people like tickling, or have any other fetish that isnt focusing on sex.

have you noticed that some people here would much rather tickle than have sex? (honestly, I'm one of them)
have you ever noticed that most people's number one drive in their life (whether they want to admit it or not) is sex? its one of maslows basic human needs yes, but thats a rough classification,
nature, playing its trick on all of us, put in us this inescapable need for sexual release, as part of our hardwiring, why? so we would procreate (take a look at "The Selfish Gene" its along the same principle, just forcing what is needed for overall survivial. nature plays its tricks, thats why 90% of relationships dont work, they are founded on a mutal need for sexual release and nothing more.

cutting off from my rant, in short, people who would rather tickle than have sex, (or other things) are in a way, lifted from that burden to a certain extent. have you ever noticed how many creatuve people are here in our community? artist, writers and so forth. how bout you take a poll on how many of those people would rather tickle than have sex? its prolly pretty high.

why do you think those people are so creative? they have TIME to explore theyre creativity because theyre main sexual release focus is tickling instead of sex. tickling is simpler, more innocent, and frankly easier to get. because its so easy, they dont have to spend so much time going after sex and therefore their lives are freer, in more ways than one, they have time, and they arent so mind restricted by having the need 24/ 7, so they can be clearer in mind and time to do things of a more creative nature.

Hi Journia, I am one of the many long-time-lurkers-one-time-posters.
I would like to help you by giving you my view of things. My "philosophy" us rather unlike how FeatherFeet described it (no offence FF!) - in fact I think I would have saved a lot of time and heartache being into "normal" sex rather than live with the love-hate relationship I currently have.

I can perhaps in the coming weeks and months, prepare an essay on my views, thoughts, feelings, dreams, fears and motivations with regard to tickling. Perhaps we all can and put together a Tickling Anthology - some will be funny, some heartbreaking, some motivational.
