the US Olympic basketball men's team was made up of all amateurs and still won gold...now that was an exciting game..i can still remember how they also got cheated out of the gold one year..and they were still amateur players..

something is taken away when they allow these multi million dollar basketball pros to compete...i know i know the other countries always used their pros..but we never did..and we could still compete and win..

remember the 1980 US hockey team? they won..and they were amateurs..the men's i mean

Oh, don't get me started on this topic! Olympics are ment to be for Amateurs, but it was the other countries that had their pros play first! If the US won, it was a sweeter win, cause we were the Amateurs, and they were the pro's. But now, with our pro's playing, yes we win most the time, but it has become boring.

hehe the funny thing was....i wanted to walk yesterday morning outside before it got too hot...hubby was downstairs watching the game on tv..i went down and told him the US won...i'm so bad...hehe..

i can remember when network tv showed movies at night... :shock:
