I don't know, why the american members hate to latin members?

Honestly, I really think it has less to do with hate, and more to do with the fact that not a lot of people speak Spanish. Your stories are wonderful, but with them being in a different language, they're not accessible to a lot of people. It isn't your fault, and it's not theirs, either. Cultural differences will just always be a barrier to understanding, and only through concerted effort can that barrier be breached--more effort than a lot of people are willing to put in on a daily basis, unfortunately.

And for the record, I myself know some Spanish (not a lot, but some), and am a pretty big fan of many of the aspects of Hispanic culture. So know that you do have friends among us. 😀

You have to understand, alot of the Americans on this board forget that this is an international board. They think this is just a USA USA board. And the people who treat you rude by virtue of the fact that you're Spanish? They're provincial bigots, for the most part. You are way more connected to reality than they are. They don't represent all Americans (nobody represents all Americans......there's no American people, it's the American peoples, plural).

It's probably a topic better discussed in the Politics section.....except that's where you'll find some of the worst bigots in the Forum. My advice: just sit back and laugh at them. They're going down in history as dummies, trust me.........you'll have the last laugh. 😉

I think arachnid95 is closer to the truth here. While a few posters - three or four, I think - could have made their point more politely, I don't think it amounted to hating Latins.

Maybe they really are "provincial bigots"; maybe they just couldn't be bothered to make tactful replies. I don't know them well enough to say and, I'll wager, neither does anyone else in this thread.

What chicago said is also true; three or four posters do not represent all Americans. The OP has gotten his share of positive responses too; why not mention them?

Hmmmmmm. The terms Latin and American are not exclusive. You could be Latin and also from Estados Unidos.
