The only real way to meet people here is to get involved in the forums.Few people look at this thread,and even fewer respond.Also,some people take breaks from here for various reasons,perhaps thats what happened in your case.

Yeah, most members have very little luck with the Pen Pals forum and the Personals forum---especially guys. When women post threads, everyone usually goes after them like stray dogs going after a piece of meat that the butcher just threw out. Then, they usually get overwhelmed by all the people pursuing them that they just disappear. But then again, I tend to think that a lot of them are more interested in the attention they get as opposed to actually making new friends.
All I can say is start posting regularly in the forums. I've been posting for a while, but I have still yet to meet anyone. Oh well. It's worth a try. heh

I was just sitting around browsing through the threads and came about this one and decided to post a small comment.
I have been a member here for a few years, not much of what you might call an active member, but a member none the less. In about 3 years time I have made one friend here a year or so ago, and had the pleasure of meeting up with this person last month.
Should I never make another friend or meet anyone else through this "forum", becomming friends with her makes it all worth it.
Don't give up, it takes some time but eventually will happen.
