It's odd to see someone with a bunch of posts do one of these, and I have over one hundred over my stay. To be honest, this account was made so I could grab attachments and have access to everything I could. Only reason I came out of lurker status here or TMF. But I digress.
I am a semi-active member of the communities we have interlaced together here. Usually will be dicking around in TMF's chat...and if we had one here I'd probably do that too.
My desire out of coming out and doing a formal sort of introduction is multi-pronged. First of all, I figure with the social structure here it might be safer for me to be active here without dealing with the myriad of personal issues that go on elsewhere. And nothing is better than hearing rumors about yourself when you post once every blue moon to give lip service to something that you liked to see. Smaller group, less issues inherently, and if I am actually going to try to embrace this in a more open light...this seems the place to do such a thing.
I would like to get to know some of the people that post here, to be honest. I know I talked to Sammi...albeit briefly...and even so probably scared her off. But it's been kinda hard to just sit back and say "hey yo" to people and try to make some friendships, or just find people you can shoot the proverbial shit with.
Also with that, I would like to give back to the community that has given me a lot over the years. I am not going to become derogatory or anything...all I can say is that having a place to just pursue around and have at my finger tips stuff that was engrained into my brain from a young age...it's comforting. It's cool. It's a place to throw a mask on and be equals, or take it off if you want to.
I have a passion for writing. I might try my hand at doing some stuff writing wise for this place. That's my outlet...my art. I can't draw, but I believe I can paint a beautiful soliloquy with a pen. Or in this case...a quill.
This is getting long winded and I am sure a majority of the folks who took the time to read this are probably rolling their eyes. So I'll cut beyond all that and just say that these are just a few of the interests this twenty two year old dude from the land of Lincoln has. Be it philosophy, literature...be it sports or politics...pretty much pick a topic, I have someplace to shoot from.
So yo...hey. If you want to be talky talky pals or whatever, drop me a line.
