I have finicky tastes

In my time hanging out here I have realized how finicky my tastes are. I love true stories, but I hate tickling fiction. The fictional story are so overblown and outrageous that I just can't get past it. I hate tickling videos with plots. I have only a few videos, but if I find out the video has any type of plot I cross it off my list. I have no desire to see bad acting with my tickling. I also have no desire to see girls tickled in super-heroine or cheerleader costumes. Hey just give me a cute girl with shorts and t-shirt and I am happy. I like feet as long as they are being tickled. Beyond tickling, feet have no interest to me. Like I said in another thread I hate cyber tickling. I just find the whole activity ridiculous. I guess we all diffrent tastes and likes, so what do you guys like and dislike?

I usually like tickling stories, whether they're true or not. Videos with plots sometimes aren't as good as those without them, but it's not a big deal to me. I don't really care what the ticklee is wearing, and I love to look at feet as well as tickle them. I'm not into cyber-tickling, but it can be fun if done right. I'm not as finicky as you, Iggy, but whatever floats your boat, I'm all for it! 🙂

True or fake

I don't want to have to "use my imagination" so much when reading stories, either. The fiction stories, and some of those so-called "true" (please) stories are very silly, and seem to be geared for a 12 year old audience. I also hate when my intelligence is insulted by some cutie pretending like she's shocked and suprised, when they're really reading off some lines in bad acting, people on here telling an obviously fake story and claiming it's true, claiming to have tickled all these celebrities, etc. etc.

I proposed before that we have a seperate section for "true" and "not true" stories. (I know, "fiction and non fiction".) But nothing was ever done anymore about it. At least make a mandating "sticky" to post if it's true or not in the "post subject" line.

Thank you for bringing this up again, Mr. Iggy Pop.

Letseee: Stories: don't like stories where there's more build up than tickling going on. Prefer that stories deal with tickling exclusively, rather than sex. If it involves a little arousal, that's fine, but like tickling to be the focus.

Videos: (knocking no producers) Prefer not to see the same old body type and look of models! Really, we've seen the 98-115 slim tummied, long haired girl tickled oooooover and ooooooover and oooooover. Prefer diverse ticklees of varying size, weights, heights, builds, and especially ethnicity (really REALLY hard to come by). Can't stress that last part enough.
Prefer clothed ticklees. It lends casuality and fun to the video rather than looking like a porn production. I don't mind nude that much but it really adds nothing to a video at all. I agree about the shorts and tank top.
Prefer vids that aren't particular about tickeld body parts. Yes I love feet whether tickled or not, but I enjoy seeing a ticklee worked all over.
Really dislike plots. the acting is ALWAYS bad and boring and takes up minutes that could be used for tickling that we get charged for in the vid price. Do, however, enjoy a brief (2 min or less) interview with the ticklee before and or after a tickle session (unscripted of course). No preference about masked ticklees as I know that many more models of different types might participate if anonymity were a part (although partial masks would be best). Like Iggy, leave the costumes for halloween and special request tickle vids. I'm open about gags. Sometimes hearing full laughing is good, sometimes the added element of helplessness makes things seem more ticklish too (plus muffled laughs are kinda cute)!
I do have one question though. I've seen some bondage sites who use decorative and restrictive (prefer not painful) means of restraint but stuff like that is rarely seen on tickle vids. Why is that? Oh yeah, noisy restraints get on my nerves too. Also prefer the tickler to be minimal in talking lest it really emphasizes teasing. just my 3 nickels worth.

again, all of these are just preferences so let's hope no one starts some silly disputes.

I enojy both fiction and non-fiction, but my preference is for non-fiction stories. They seem to produce the most powerful images for me, I guess since they have the most realistic scenarios and characters. I usually won't read any fictional stories with titles like "Wonderwoman meets her ticklish demise" or ones that use things like space aliens, monsters, tickling machines, or rabid tickling dogs (lol)....actually include any use of animals as ticklers to that list (yuck!).
However, if the fictional story is well written, imaginative, and well developed then I will usually enjoy it as well as a non-fictional story. I love ones that walk a close line between fiction and non-fiction, and make you think "Yeah, that could happen." Ones with believable characters, and plots. And ones that don't spend most of the time writing about tickling scenes that we've all read (in one form or another) a million times. It may sound weird to some of you that I don't want to constantly read about tickling in my tickling fiction, but I get kind of tired of it after awhile. As the reader, I get desensitized and I stop feeling whatever ticklish torment the victim of the story may be feeling. In my opinion, a perfect example of a well written fiction story is the one that "laughter n love" wrote (out of the rain, I think it was called.) The setting was beautifully illustrated, and the author gave the reader time to get to know the main character before any tickling was done.
It is that sense of intimacy that a good author develops between the reader and the characters that makes for a good story . I hate the "wham bam thank you mam" stories that go right for the tickling, and leave no room for the build up or descriptives (that goes for fiction as well as non-fiction stories). But maybe that's a girl thing.....us girls need a little warm-up time to get things going 😉

Iggy,

Is it maybe that you have never been graced with the opportunity to have a true tickling experience happen that are as incredible as the fiction we write. Because I know I personally can relate to many of the fiction stories. Mostly the ones involving lovers!

Here are stories that I cannot relate to: An Evil genius or supervillian catching a superheroine or spy and tickling her for information. A fan who stalks and kidnaps his favorite celeberity just to tickle her. Kidnapping the bitch that everybody hates and tickling her to teach her a lesson. I'll add almost kidnapping scenario to the list. Tickling done by monsters, ghosts, or space aliens. I have no real life experiences like this and none of these stories appeal to me. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with these stories, but they are just not my cup of tea. It's not because these stories are fiction that I do not like em. It's because the plots are just too far out there for me. If fictional story is written realisticaly then I might actually enjoy it.

I'm not criticizing anyone else here, just describing my own personal preferences. I agree with Daisy Crazy and Iggy Pop about realism: I don't read or write stories about tickling by ghosts, demons, space creatures, animals, etc. I prefer true experiences and realistic semi-fiction that I can identify with.

I do not care for nudity in videos, since I find it distracts from the tickling. I also dislike brutality, which hits like a cold slap in the face while I'm reading a tickling story. (I know: I like trample and spanking, but even there, I avoid reading or writing stories with a focus on pain and injury. It ruins all the fun.)

Love and laughter,

Love tickling stories, only fiction, however, as the true ones make me blue (or is it green?😛 ) with envy.
I also like nonconsensual tickling, in any form.
Tickling material with cruelty in mind are my favs, depending on me mood, ya know...

IP makes a good point, though, aboot having no interest in feet, other than tickling. The realm of fetishism, for better or for worse, seems to remain a unique domain...

Cheers.😀

Another finicky tickler here

I think we are all a little finicky but here is my take. I like all forms of tickling stories just as long as they are well writen. I like non-consensual stories especially the ones that are true. As for tickling videos I will never buy one that has a plot. Although I do have a desire to see "Of Sweat Suffering" because it looks like it has a subtle implied plot with no acting needed. I like to see a girl slowly striped during the tickling. I don't really care too much for nudity. Taking the girl's top off is OK but not her bottoms because then it becomes a poro and that is not what I want to see. The tickling should be the focus of a tickling video, not sex.

my likes, and dislikes (as if anyone cares)

i hate, with a capital H, ANY AND ALL F/F TICKLING!
be it, stories, or videos.
i like tickling videos with a plot, but i dislike poor acting.
i like banter between the tickler, and his/her victim/partner.
poor bondage is worse than no bondage, and that includes noisy chains.
tickling videos should be tickling videos! not vehicals to have vibraters shoved into a girls crotches. if it isn't to tickle, then why is it in a tickling video?
i'd like to see more videos with mature women. this 21 year old stuff is boring. have you producers ever tickled a woman in her 30's and 40's? trust me, their reactions are better than the little girls you keep using!
well that's enough out of me.

Hm.

I am one of the few people it seems that loves a plot with my videos!!

Krokus i know we're in the minority but i gotta agree, no matter how cornball or cheesy they might be; i like a plot in my tickle vids. And while i do prefer true stories, there is some great tickle fiction out there and i do enjoy much of it; Captain Spaulding's Hannah Davis series being a particular favorite. My dislikes incude any work of tickle fiction involving aliens, ghosts, fairies, sailor moon-(what the hell is the MANIA over that?!?)-etc; much too childish and over the top for me and i'm not interested. As far as tickle vids go i don't expect Gone With The Wind type production values but PLEASE no gag usage; that's my all time number one pet peeve. I also intesely dislike cyber tickling which i find silly and pointless in the extreme.

Careful.

I'm starting to see a lot of derrogatory adjectives starting to be used. This thread should just be about what you like and don't like. No need for "I don't see how anyone can....." etc. stuff. Respect other people's tastes, that's what it's about anyway. It's not a complaint thread.

As far as stroies go as long as there is a beautiful female being tickled I'm down.

Fiction is fine with me, but I also prefer that it be realistic. I generally don't like tickle stories that tell of tickling sessions lasting in excess of ten straight hours or something ridiculous, as well as stories about abducting and keeping a tickle slave for the rest of his/her life. As far as videos, I guess I'd rather there be no plot than a cheesy plot. I am torn on the issue of nudity in videos. For me, a graphic love scene in a good movie is far different from porn. I guess I apply this same analogy to tickling videos. I enjoy the vulnerability and susceptibility of a nude, well-restrained ticklee, but could do without the cheesy "porn" element common in many videos. Also, I just can't get into cyber tickling. I enjoy discussing fantasies with members of the opposite sex, but draw the line at the whole "I tickle your feet, HAHAHAHAHA" thing. Anyways, there's my $1.50.

Sometimes, I feel rather isolated.

-So far, almost every post has specifically criticized (or openly sneered at) monster stories, which are what I write. I like the innocence and playfulness of such scenarios. (If you don't like them, fine with me, but please respect those of us who do.)

-There seems to be a wide consensus that non-consensual tickling is the best; some wish it to be openly cruel. I hate anything not enjoyed by the ticklee, in reality or fantasy.

-Several people criticized stories where build-up dominates over actual tickling. I feel -- and write -- the opposite. I think buildup, as in reality, is by far the most exciting part. The scenario leading inexorably to tickling is essential to me.

There are a few points where I do agree with others here. I prefer tickling clothed to nude; I don't like sex mixed in with tickling -- sex is a private business; I don't understand the point of cyber tickling.

Nonetheless, it seems that I am off in a different world from most of the others here. I have no problem with that, fundamentally. What other people want and imagine is entirely their own business, which is why I do not judge or criticize anyone for their tastes or fantasies (I only condemn people who actually hurt other people, in reality).

Still, does anyone see things at all as I do? Some must, because people do read my stories. My group has several hundred members, and presumably they haven't all just forgotten to quit.

Ah, well. I've always been out of the mainstream -- even this non-mainstream mainstream.

Well,.,...

One thing that I brought up, that still hasn't been hit on yet, is to simply POST in the SUBJECT LINE if it's FICTION or NON FICTION. That would aleviate so much controversy and/ or disagreement. Why should that not be required?

...Oh, one case to point out, the success in Biscuits "early experiences" post.

20 years ago you'd consider yourself lucky to find ANY tickling material, even if it didn't suit your precise tastes. Ten years ago you could find tickling material with a little effort, but had no way to judge your material before buying. In this, tickling's golden age, there are alot of producers of tickling in many different forms, and alot of people also who will and do write reviews so a fella doesn't buy into something he really isn't interested in. It's easy to become finicky with so many options, and every opinion is respected. I identify with some of the preferences stated in this thread, others are way out in the barnyard in regards to mine. My point is let's never forget how fortunate we are in 2002 to have CHOICES. These producers, whether or not they serve up your cup of tea at every setting, are giving us ALOT of selections. Take some time to say "Thanks" once in a while, even if only for trying (I notice most who chimed in on this thread ARE verbally appreciative, by the way). Realize how lucky we truly are.

An extremely valid point.

Realizing how "lucky" we are is fine, and I do, but this is now, and here we are. As I posted several times before, Why can't posters simply put "Fiction" or "Non fiction" (Along with warning us if it is M-M) in the subject line? That is definately not too much to ask.

damn...another perfectly good thread ruined by folks turning into a complaint forum. Come on people....it's ridiculous. You KNOW where to take your complaints to...and it isn't here.

I'll try to bring it back on track despite this mess.

One preference I have in videos is seeing a ticklee in atleast three bonded positions (unless it's a compilation vid of short tickles). And I also agree with those who said that they are not cool with noisy restraints.

Let's try this ONE last time. Can we keep it on track?

I love the stories most of all. fiction, nonfiction, realistic, over-the-top... all of it. there is some real talent here. the only stories I don’t care for are the ones that involve known fictional characters and (for the most part) celebs or (again, for the most part) f/f. but obviously, by the stories I see posted, lots of folks love just that.

I have never seen a full video, only clips, so I don’t really have any taste preferences there.

cyber tickling... if you are thinking of the talk that goes on in the main rooms of tickle chat rooms then I agree that it is pretty silly. fun and harmless, but silly. seems to me it’s kind of meant to be. but... when two people are talking and find themselves writing a story together (more what I see it as) or sharing fantasies, then I don’t think it’s silly at all. a long way from silly.

we really are very lucky to have so many choices and that we are able to find ‘just the right fit’ but I also really do appreciate every contribution. keep them coming. odds are someone will find it and be so glad it’s there.

Wilson, ..."Back on track"??

Wilson says- "I'll try to bring it back on track despite this mess."

I don't see any mess, or where it got off track in the first place. I copied the first (original) post, here, take a look:

"In my time hanging out here I have realized how finicky my tastes are. I love true stories, but I hate tickling fiction. The fictional story are so overblown and outrageous that I just can't get past it. I hate tickling videos with plots. I guess we all diffrent tastes and likes, so what do you guys like and dislike?"

...Sounds like a question that I answered honestly, as well as others did too. ....Off track you say?? -Not me.

Wilson also says: "I'm starting to see a lot of derrogatory adjectives starting to be used. This thread should just be about what you like and don't like. No need for "I don't see how anyone can....." etc. stuff. Respect other people's tastes, that's what it's about anyway. It's not a complaint thread."

...So what's the difference? You tell us to state what you like but don't complain? Oh please. (Not to mention it's not your thread) but I can honestly say that I don't see how someone can like watching 2 dudes together, but that's still my opinion, and I understand others may have different opinions also, or is my opinion not allowed?

..And I still think people should post "Fiction" or "Non fiction" in the story lines, that will prevent a lot of "complaint", as you say. Not saying to limit the choices, simply label the choices.

So we can't disagree on anything on here? Yeah, right. I see no flames, just healthy debate. ..It gets everything out in the open.

...Great forum, by the way!

right on cdfga!

well said sir. i saw no flames, nor serious debate really. just folks saying what they like and dislike.
