When they picked both of the girls, they pretty much slapped Jake and Kenny in the face. If I were them, I would be PISSED. It is not their fault that Jackie f'd up her knee. If only one of them can be picked, oh well, that is how the game is played. If I were Jake, I would file a lawsuit against the WWE. It was supposed to be one male winner, and one female. They pretty much commited fraud on live TV. All I know is that the WWE has just lost a HUGE fan. 😡 What a week. . . . .

While I was surprised by the outcome, I thought that they made the right choices. While Kenny and Jake were both in pretty good shape, they both fell behind the gals in thier character development and willingness to stick with the routine. Jake complained on more than one occassion about the demands or the work they were doing and was really struggling in trying to develop a personality that could work. While Kenny was somewhat better in his character development, he seemed kind of non-challante about the whole thing.

If Vince is going to put money into continued training and development, he needs people who are truly dedicated. It's a tough business. It's not one where those who simply think it would be cool to be a professional wrestler will survive. I got the impression that both guys leaned in that direction. That may have played into the panel's decision as well.

I'm not sure how the agreement was worded about one male and one female winner. If it was specific about that, they DO need to look at the legalities of the matter and look at fresh wording for the next round. But, either way, I thought their choices were good.

Just my own take on it.

Bottom Line..

They're not under a guaranteed contract. The standard Vince McMahon contract says he can do as he pleases. So there is no legalities involved. It's not different than interviewing potential employees. You take the best of the bunch.

It was revealed during the season

It actually was revealed during one of the seasons episodes that it could be two people of the same sex. The only mentioned it once, and never reflected on it again.
It was a shocking twist, but I must give an opinion on Jake. Although he had the look of a WWE star he was too green to give it to. Jake was still potentially dangerous to his opponents as far as accidentily hurting them in the ring.
Kenny was better in the ring than Jake, but he was boring.
As far as the combination of ring skill & charisma, Linda and Jackie were the best of the four.
I think the group from the first season had more skills. There were people cut from the first season that were better than the four finalists of season two (although I think that Nidia is a disappointment, without wrestling a single WWE match in a year).

I was a little pissed too. I liked Jake and Jackie. If it were me I would have picked Linda last out of the 4 that were left. I guess thats why I am not the owner of the WWE. Also, I think the 2nd show had more talent then the first.😉

about Tough Enough.....

i was surprised as anyone, but i knew something was up. remember last year when they said there will be one MALE champion and one FEMALE champion? this year, i noticed during the show and the final episode that they were crowning TWO tough enough champions. during the final show they NEVER said one MALE or one FEMALE champion. i found that very curious, so when Linda and Jackie were the winners i was surprised, but almost expecting.....

to tell you the truth, i thought it was a hard decision. Linda was okay, she may have the attitude to survive, i just didnt like her style. Jackie is a pretty woman, but her knee injury may hinder her. Kenny had the talent to be a good wrestler, but i cant see any "wrestling persona"... Jake had the same problem. he had the "look", but his ring skills were not as good. he needed more work.

all in all, Tough Enough was good, but honestly, didnt it get real good when Jackie and Pete were "fooling around"??

I didn't see Tough Enough 2, but I would like to ask a slightly off topic question.........

Am I alone in believing the World Wildlife Fund to be a bunch of petty minded, litigacious, turd stranglers? I will NEVER refer to the company as the WWE, in my mind it always has and always will be the WWF. It has been for 30 odd years since VKM bought it from his father. Why did it take so long for the panda lovers to make such a fuss? And what irresponsible surgeon performed the labotomy on the judge or jury members, that ruled Vince had to change the company name? 😡 😡 😡

you are not alone.although i do kinda like the "get the f out"thing

it was a rip off!

hell i wanted hawk, and anne!
it was rediculous to take jackie, she has a shot knee already!
if she gets hurt further, they are liable. they knowingly put her in a situation where she can be hurt, and is hurt already. that's stupid!
but on the other hand, they need more women on the shows. the ones they have now are just too slutty.
the other T.E.2 pick... well she was just the token. none of the trainers liked her, and said so! but they felt they had to pick a black or they'd be sued. sad that this type of thing has to happen.
