I Love My 12-inch

I love to take it out. I love to look at it, to admire it, to think of all the times in my life that I've had a chance to enjoy it, either alone or with a partner. And I never offer it to just any partner. No, sharing it with someone I don't know fairly intimately just wouldn't do. There needs to be a certain chemistry between us, an emotional bond. To do otherwise would be to cheapen the experience, to render it devoid of meaning,..

I'm just a collecter/music fan.

I lot of them are from late 80s to mid 90s freestyle songs.

I have a few 12-inchers, mostly ones with non-album tracks on them, but mostly I collect full-length albums. I don't listen to much dance music or rap/hip-hop, though I love turntablism (e.g. DJ Shadow, DJ Q-Bert, etc).

I am able to replace all of my old drum corps records from the late 60s and mid 70s with CDs/DVDs. It will be a long process.

I have replaced most of my classical recordings with CDs.
