I Need some technical assistance

Hey everyone. Hopefully somebody in here will hear my desperate plea for help andcome to my aid. ow exactly do I view a WMV file? Every time I download one, I get taken to my movie player, but it won't open any of the files. what am I doing wrong? HELP!!!!!

Are you saving the files before you view them, and what player are you using? Windows Media Player plays WMV files.

I had to download codecs when MTP first started posting clips in the WMV format. Until I did that, I had the exact same problems you're describing. I can't remember now exactly how I went about getting the codecs, I know it was someone on here that helped me with it. I will try and figure out how I did it and let you know if I get anywhere lol I guess that wasn't much help..sorry.

There are most likely upgrades, etc. to download at the microsoft site. If you are saving them correctly and still unable to open them, I'd suggest going there to see if you can find it.
