I've been exploring my sexuality for a while now, hence my tickling discovery. Along the way I've found some pretty wierd and wonderful stuff, and I've been able to understand where most of those fetishes and interests are coming from despite how bizzare they might seem at first glance.

But, try as I might, I still don't get why people like feet. I just don't get it. And as there is a monumental link between that and tickling, it has really made me curious.

I don't want to make it sound like I'm making fun of any of you guys, far from it. I'm just interested to hear (or read) what people like about feet. 😕

Why is there such a huge link between feet and tickling? The only guess I can come up with is that most feet are ticklish in general.

What's so great about feet, hence fetish? Again, IMHO, for me it's the asthetics of feet and there meatiness, softness and neatness. I don't have a foot fetish, but I would not hesitate to put some lovely toes into my mouth (male or female)*.

*Disclaimer: I'm married now so this applies to my prior status. Just to cover my ass incase Hubby reads this post...lol... Doesn't change my feelings, only my actions.

...to be quite honest bro......I have no friggin clue why I think that feet are sexy, in a tickling-type-of-way. All I can really think of is that at a young age, I made some type of subconsious connection between feet and tickling. So, if I had thought that tickling was cool at that time (and trust me, I did) then, I obviously would've thought that feet were cool, in the same way.

Then, to make a long story short, I hit puberty, tickling was there, and feet came along for the ride......

I guess that's all I can think of, besides the cop out answer- "I was born with it"

so.......that's all I can really say on that matter.........I guess in the long run, I blame olive oil for the way I am now.....if I hadn't seen those two episodes with her bein tickled on the feet....I might not think about feet the same way I do today......oh well....

Why feet? I'll repeat a thought that I posted in another thread. In the climate where I grew up, the standard tickle spots stayed covered in clothing for much of the year. Sexual tickling is lots more fun on bare skin. As an adolescent first exploring my sexuality, tickling was pretty much an opportunistic thing - ambush a target of opportunity. Under those conditions, a shoe is lots easier to remove for a tickle attack than other articles of clothing.

Also, for me at least, Mia's post about esthetics is close to the mark. I'm usually not interested in tickling ugly feet. Can't say I have a foot fetish though - I'm not at all interested in toe sucking etc.

I guess the best answer to "Why feet?" is, "Why not?"

A disturbing thought

OK....I'm no psychologist, but I think I'm going to steal a page of out Freud's book to explain our attraction to women's feet. When I was young, my mother always used to walk around barefoot. Kids tend to be relatively short during their formative years, crawling on the ground near to their mother's feet. At some point, the sight of a barefoot may have been associated to the mother....scary as it sounds, as a child I actually remember seeing other girls' barefeet and thinking to myself that those feet were much more attractive than my mother's. Going on Freud's assumption that all guys are subconsciously attracted to women who remind them of their mothers, it would make sense that guys are attracted to female feet, which is a symbol of their mother. This argument also holds for why guys like breasts, obviously.

Prior to 10 minutes ago, I never really thought about this....I admit, it's a disturbing thought....I may never look at the female foot the same way again. Second thought, if I still like breasts after all this time, I don't think this thought will turn me away from feet.

Apart from them being an isolated region of the body that is extremely responsive to this kink, and apart from foot fetism (which is still a weird term, since feet aren't inanimate), feet are simply an unobtainable area. You can't just go up and touch or eyeball someone's feet without consequence, generally speaking.

Add to that the associations made in one's youth, with the feet of the caretaking adults, and you have a focal point for an emerging intellect. Some folks get into it for that reason, and can still recall such.

For me, feet can be attractive or unattractive, and are terribly appealing if ticklish. I once thought I had a foot interest, until I met a lady with attractive feet that weren't at all sensitive. Found out that the pedal interest was focused. My earliest memories agree, as I was only ever focused on them for tickling, as a boy.

I've found that anywhere on a woman that gets a delighted laugh will appeal to me, now. Makes the interest very specific, dependent on the person.

Oddly, if someone's got repellant feet, for whatever reason, but are still ticklish, I'll simply bypass dealing with the feet at all. It really all depends on the person.
