If someone hates to be tickled, I have a theory on how to annoy them less (which I've never heard discussed here before):
That it's better to use pokes to make them jump, rather than continuous tickling for a longer period.

Just based on my own life experience, it seems when people get really angry from tickling, it's always after a long continuous attack, as if it takes a few seconds for the "I'm pissed off" glands to release chemicals in the bloodstream.

So my theory, up for debate here, is that on a person who hates being tickled, it's easier to get away with 10 1-second pokes -- than one sustained 10-second tickling.

Thoughts?

I think that if you poke someone ten times, there's a high likelihood that they're going to get your face acquainted with their fist.

If someone truly hates being tickled, in all likelihood there is nothing you're gonna be able to do to change that. I've dated a couple of girls who were incredibly ticklish, but truly disliked it, and while that didn't necessarily remove any possibility of a relationship, I always felt like it'd be unfair for them to put up with something they didn't like.

That said, I had some luck with more "borderline" tickling, like running your fingers lightly across the stomach or back. One girl I knew hated being tickled and couldn't handle it, but could handle the lighter touches as long as certain really sensitive spots were avoided, especially as she knew what her reactions did for me... But yeah poking probably isn't the way to go, seems to come off as more annoying, especially if done repeatedly.

I agree, if they hate being tickled... end of story. 😛issed

Yes.... well just to clarify, I was giving the poking example as compared to continuous tickling.

I'm not exactly sure... are you guys are saying these 'lees would like uninterrupted, continuous tickling more than quick pokes? If so, that hasn't been what I've found.

I think poking could tend to get a wee bit painful..depending on how hard you poke the person...

p.s. did you know poke has several definitions? like in "Lonesome Dove" how bout a poke means how about a fuck?
