If you could be any critter...

what would you be and why?

(critter = any animal that flies, crawls, trots, walks, slithers, swims, scampers, creeps, waddles... etc.)

I'd want to be a bear.
They eat all summer, sleep all winter, give birth while they are pratically asleep, only have to support cubs 2 to 3 years before they kick them out on their own, have a wide variety of food in their diets and not too much pesters them because they are the biggest and baddest mo'fo's in the forest.

Arctic Wolf. They live where it's nice and cold, plenty of snow, and no people to bother with.

Second choice would probably be anything that could fly, preferably something without a hunting season

They play all the time... mudsliding on the spring, snowsliding in the winter and all that romping and frolicing in between. Not a dull moment there!

I'd be a cat. They can do what the want, when they want... get fussed over... get to snuggle whoever they want... get stroked all the time.

Plus... I once possessed a skin-tight, full body lycra cat costume, complete with fur, tail and ears. So I'm halfway there, right? Oooh, plus people tell me my eyes are slightly cat-like. 😀

sure, but these days I figure an alpha wolf has too many responsibilities and problems to deal with; The Giant Bear is the king of all he surveys. Nothing threatens him, not wolf packs, not mountain lions, nothing but human hunters with high powered rifles, and the law protects him from those.
Besides, naturalists have stated that they have seen male Giant Bears tickling their mates! 😱

I'd want to be a Killer Whale; all powerful and majestic....

Or a wise and mischievous Raven, which fits my personality. Or a fat and lazy Tabby Cat. And if I couldn't be those, I like Mz. Chaos's choice, but for me it would be a Sea Otter. I'm a Teddy Bear though and an incurable romantic.​

Multiple people on here say 'cat' and that's probly the best one. Cats are so relaxed all the time, people love and pet them... they seem like they have it made compared to wound up hectic human beings.
