If You Were to Die Today, Would We Know?

Maybe this will be bit of a gloomy topic, but I wonder since this is an amazingly close community, if you were to die today, would we know?

Is there anyone in your real life, family or friends, who knows about TMF that would let someone from here know that you've died? Do you have something set up so that in event of your death someone would let someone from TMF know so they can inform the forum of your passing?

Knock on wood, I could die tomorrow, and I don't think anyone of you would know that I had died. I have numbers and email addresses of some friends on here, but my family and RL friends don't know about this place, and I don't think they would know who to call or email to let them know that I had passed away.

that's actually a very interesting idea. although i like to think i have some good friends here, were i to die, i think it would probably be assumed that i just ditched the fetish (or at least this place).....i really don't see how the word would ever get out.

i thought about posting an idea for how we could all ensure that it would be made known, without having to "out" ourselves while alive, but my god that's so fuckin morbid hahah

i think people may know cuz there would be no posts from me and i would not answear pm,s witch i always answear and a few members do know my number i always answeer the phone or get back 2 fokls that call there is only one member that knows my address and knows where my family members live and could find out

Not for me. My mom does know that I get on a fetish forum, but she doesn't know the url or anything. If that does happen, hopefully she'll be able to see it as one of the sites I visit the most in my browser's history and let everyone that way...or something. 😵 Idk... 🙁

I'm almost positive. I have the numbers and or/addresses of people I'm close to here on my phone, and while my family doesn't know about the forum, they've heard me speak of a few people here enough times and that I travel half way across the country to see them. I think my mom has actually spoken briefly for hellos with Leah and Jo, so I'm pretty sure they'd either notify them or would, at the very least, relay the bad news when they'd call to figure out where the hell I vanished to.

Definitely. Michael is still pretty much family, and I talk to Jeff every day. They'd know if something happened to me.

Yep, you'd know. It's not a long list but my very resourceful friends would find a very resourceful way of finding out and telling you But as noisy as I am both here and IRL, I'd hope things would be handled with a quiet classiness in the event of my death.

I have already taken the liberty of writing a list of my last dying wishes and on that list, my father (who is more computer friendly than the other members of my family) is to notify ALL of the online forums and chat rooms that I have ventured into to tell everyone on my friends list that I have died. On that list is the usernames and passwords to all of them...funny I didn't think to write them down sooner...

I've got you added. Your mom is on Facebook also. If you just disappeared and no one knew anything, I could just ask her. I mean you told her about me after all, and she even heard me speak on Skype once.

As for me, there are several ways in which the word could reach you guys: First of all something similar to how I could find out about Amanda, namely that she contacts/gets contacted by someone on my Facebook list. Also, one of my real life friends knows about the forum. I never showed it to him, but he knows what it's called and all of that. He'd likely be able to get the word out. If nothing else he would eventually have to tell our 'nilla friend in Illinois, who could pass the word to Sanna since the three of us Skype sometimes. Oh, and I guess Sanna could easily find out on her own too - I mean, if I just stop answering my cellphone my parents might still pick up, and if not, there are other ways to find out.

Tl;Dr: Yes, you'd all know if I got myself killed.
