Ok, I belong to another board, music themed. A number of the members there have met at various shows and concerts.
There is one member that I have been in contact for a few years, but he has never been to a "get together".
He was messaging me the other night, and told me that the reason he doesn't do the shows is because he has a fear/phobia of large crowds, and enclosed places, so being in a packed club is out of the question.
He has decided that he will begin to meet the members on a one on one basis at a pub or resturant, and people have agreed to do that for him. He says I am one of the people he wants to meet.
He's a friendly, cute guy (seen his pic), he's straight, but knows I'm gay. We've had very odd, teasing convos with each other, and when he "insults" me, I've threatened to get an apology through tickle torture. His reply was that on a scale of 1 to 10, his ticklish level is a 9, and it makes him crazy to be tickled. He's even joked that he's invented a tickle sheild to protect him from me.
I guess he's getting more comfortable, because his last message to me was...
"I'm looking forward to meeting you in the spring. We'll do dinner and some drinks. By the way, when we meet, I'm leaving the tickle shield home, take your best shots."
