Infant dies @ 4th of July fireworks

While waiting for fourth of July fireworks to begin, 24-year-old Naomi Gaines, of St. Paul, Minnesota, threw her 11-month old twin boys off the Wabasha Bridge and into the Mississippi River before jumping in herself, screaming incoherently. A nearby man jumped into the dangerous waters and managed to pull the woman and one of her sons out of the water. Unfortunately, the second son is still missing and presumed dead. Though the identity of the man is unknown, he receives many praises from the St.Paul police department for saving Gaines and her son, even though Gaines resisted his rescure. One witness, Erin Mac, reported "We were just sitting there, and we heard her screaming. She just kept screaming these bloodcurdling screams." Though Gaines is still being hospitalized over the weekend, she could be charged as early as Monday morning for the murder of her infant son.
