Historical tickling...

Hey happy rabbits, this is probably known by many, and may have been mentioned a few times before, but i did some historical "tickling orientated" research, and it turns out that endless foot tickling was used semi-regularly as a method of brutal execution in roman times :weird: and during a few periods afterwards.
...Is it wrong that I find that incredibly arousing? lol. 😉
See ya.
The flame dude.
hi... it's not wrong in my opinion that you find the "fantasy" of being tickled to death- or sentenced to such- as an appealing thought... many ticklers do!
It's perhaps exciting to think about. But it never really happened... Roman or otherwise... or better said, if it did happen- it wasn't until death nor legally or historically recorded, nor captured in court records. And not in the context you may be thinking at least. There's a dozen legit reasons for this, not the least of which is the reality of "tickled to death" as compared to what REALLY took place (to gain it that nicname) is much more horrible and had little to do with tickling at all. I wont go into that here unless interest warrants.
I don't mean to be a pain or ruin your spirit, but someone gave you (or you ran across) misinformation about the Romans. It's not your fault, it happens a lot... ticklers alter a lot of info, call it "history", and pass it on too... even places that claim to be 100% historically accurate have made big boo-boo's about torture in history, tickling included. Many times they pull their info from other misinformed sources... I've read legit history books with false information that cannot be documented when you review the sources that they list... and so the misinformation goes on and on. I've spent a lifetime at Universities and libraries and talking to those-in-the-know collecting factual (purely factual) evidence and data on tickling and many other tortures that were actually used. This includes court records as well as other detailed accountings from valid sources at the time. I've even taken the time and money to have huge volumes of Latin, Spanish, and Chinese records translated into English so that I could read them.
Part of the reason for mix-up is that the human language and it's many connotations has changed drastically over the centuries.
There's only a tiny amount of historical evidence regarding tickling, most can be totally discounted as hear-say, a misuse of the language, and the "telephone game" effect of today... the one exception being 6th Dynasty China where it was a perfected art of torture.
I can go into detail if anyone really cares... but reading the depressing reality of history and tickling, perhaps sticking with the fantasy of it is much better after all.
