Prepare to have your mind blown... assuming you're not an IE user...
We're testing out a program called LiveTopic which automatically updates threads with the need to refresh. Additionally, when you are viewing a thread and a new post has been added to it, you will either see the post miraculously appear before your eyes if you happen to be at the end of the thread, or you will get a small box in the lower-right corner informing you of the new post and giving you a link option to follow.
Phew, that was a mouthful!
The best way is show you this wonderful feature is to let you all try it out for yourselves. So if I happen to be browsing this thread and see your updated post, I will in turn reply back so you can see it in action. You can also simply browse any newly updated thread within a certain time-frame that has a LiveTopic icon next to it and post there.
This will be especially useful for all those quick posting threads such as the infamous Add 3 Word Story, The Official Tickle Fight, and the rapidly growing Image War thread.
So give it a test drive for us and we'll monitor how much of an impact it makes on site performance. If it becomes too sluggish we'll simply disable the program until it's more developed.
