YES, Your dream of writing an entire Rock Opera can finally be a reality!
Here are the rules: Um, I dunno....hmm...Ok! So, since there are loads of people here, by the time this poem is done it will be 2 hour masterpiece when finally if and when scored! We can see what musical types might want to help with that later. Each person writes 2 lines, copying the entire poem and adding their 2 lines. In time, if anyone does it that is, I'll break it up into different "movements" of the piece itself. Then you will just be copying that movement instead of the entire opera.
Each verse, paragraph, will have 8 lines, 4 people will comprise a verse.
We WILL rhyme the last word of the 2nd and 4th sentence, as well the 6th and 8th. So what ever the last word is at the author of lines 1 and 2's last word is, the author of lines 3 and 4 must match it at lines 4's end. This goes for the author of lines 7 and 8 to 5th and 6th authors end.
Each songs start and end will be determined later in final draft by me.
We will then ponder the idea of putting music to it! Either way I thought it was a pretty cool Idea!
Opera title can be discussed and a poll will be created for top 10 responses, and ultimately voted on.
All participating authors would herein, per say, own thereof percentage of said opera per legal interpretation on this day forth.
Working Title shall be "Stairway To Wisconsin", lol.
I'll Start with an easy one to rhyme with, "mind" , copy and past below line to add next 2 lines. If 2 rhyming posts come in at the same time, the last posted will simply start the next 2 lines.
