Iraq Game

scary but true. Excellent use of flash to explain something insanely complicated. Thanks for posting it.

Well done! Hope it isnt a preview of things to come............🙁

His next move should be one with a history lesson....remind us how WE armed most of these crazies and put them in leadership positions to begin with.

A frightening and only partly over-exaggerated vision. I bet Mr. Bush & Co. haven’t got contingency plans for more than half of these scenarios. Experts for international affairs still have a few more of those problems in store, like Turkey and Iran being drawn into a separate conflict over the Kurd issue in Northern Iraq (e.g. the Turks annexing of Iraqi Kurdistan with its oil fields in Kirkuk) , or open war among the fractions of the “Northern Alliance” in Afghanistan (Tadjiks and Uzbeks, plus Iran-supported Gulbuddin Hekmatiar in Western Afghanistan who is considered much more dangerous than the Taliban). And this even disregards another, even more volatile front opening up: North Korea, in direct vicinity to China! (shiver)

There are some who say that a war with Iraq is the wrong war, at the wrong time. Lately, I'm inclined to agree. If President Bush wants to do a regime change, it would better serve long-term American national interests to invade and conquer France. Maybe a 7 yr occupation (as in post-WW2 Germany and Japan) would teach the bastards some manners.

Good find Jeff, thanks. It was well done, I just hope it isn't what is to come🙁

So you suggest to go to war with France and Germany? I've got news for you: We are your allies, but not your vassals. A small but significant difference. We're not under your orders, but sovereign states. Your Mr. Rumsfeld has made a lot of enemies here. Any further attempt of coercion will create even more enmity. Right now, the American government behaves as if they don't want our cooperation at all, on the contrary.

hey hal, i'm watching fox news, and they interviewed a german emesary to the u.n. (i think). in the interview he said germany has a seperate treaty with isreal, that germany will go to war if iraq attacks isreal. i was suprised to hear this, but pleased at the same time. also discussed was a woman polititian in germany that is very similar to margaret thatcher, and that she is gaing wide spread support in germany for a run to take over leadership of the country. they also said she's in favor of joining america, and britian in fighting iraq.
hopfully more germans think like her, and not like your present leader.
btw, strel said france, not france and germany.

Quoting Hal:
"So you suggest to go to war with France and Germany?"

Nope. I'm being sarcastic, after the style of the American writer P. J. O'Rorke. If you're not familiar with him, I suggest that you read some of his writing. He's worth a look. Here's an example:
"If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free."

And, for the record, I have no use for the French. Never had. Never will.
