Is a Plasma tv or Lcd Television preferred for Gaming?

Hey www.ticklingforum.com does anybody know if a plasma television is better than an lcd tv when gaming

As far as picture quality is concerned, I can't say for sure. I do know that Plasmas generate a lot more heat than LCDs. Otherwise, I think it depends on the brand whether the Plasma or the LCD quality is better, but, generally, I think LCD is better. Just don't quote me on that. It's not my specialty.

I bought a 46" SAMSUNG LCD TV that I use for a monitor about a two years ago and it works great. I only use it as a monitor and I spend a lot of time on the computer. Plasma would give you too many problems. I paid $800 on sale at Best Buy. The aspect ratio is something like 70000:1. As for games. AWESOME. I play Star Trek On-line, WOW, Batman, Skyrim, 007 Bloodstone, Mass Effect (all three)...etc. And all of the games are great. It has an HD feature but I haven't even bothered with trying that. The normal setting is really sweet. I love it.

LCD would be better for gaming, Plasma tends to screen burn if left paused or keeps with a similar picture/background.
