just for the record I'm pissed at 1golfer too. Some of us can't afford to buy all the videos we want and people like The_Rocking give us a very generous use of his time and the money HE spends to fulfill the needs of those that DON'T have a lee or ler. My computer crashed a few weeks ago losing all my clips!! not whole videos but clips!!! of the videos I like the look of and when I get to be a millionaire I hope to seek out and buy. Movie studios release previews of films called trailers and they expect no money for the trailers so to expect the same from other areas is not unreasonable in my mind. I know it may cost companies money to do this but I can assure you that those like me will buy these videos in the future and now thanks to some people on here one of the best sites offering these free snippets of what a lot of us will buy and enjoy for years to come has gone forvever.

I would tell you a story...
Some time ago, i posted an anime clip called Dai no Daibouken...
It was a small, but BEAUTIFUL tickling clip, and lots of people didn't know anything about it...in the next few days, the tickling community found the way to make a greater quality clip...one of the best anime tickling clips ever!!!

Well..when i started posting here, a few months ago, i thought i was between friends..a great tickling community!!!
It's also, and REALLY sad, seeing:
1) people fighting CONTINUOSLY each other
2)then fighting more and more...
3) and more..and more..and so on...
I'm sincerely bored about it, and i'm losing the pleasure in visiting this forum very quickly!!! And don't say i'm not a real tickle lover, because i browse this forum from a long time...years before my inscription!!! And let's me say it, i never saw such anger, such wars, such offenses...and every day gets worse!!!
WE ARE LOSING OUR FORUM FOREVER, CONTINUING IN THIS WAY!!!
it would be nice, sometimes, let the others speak without childish offenses, or worse...not to be necessarily diplomatic(

I'm only asking to everyone (me first) to make a step backward...so we can all see the ruins made from our "work" (ruined friendships, ecc.)and, perhaps, save our beautiful tickling community!!!

It is not golfer's fault that the thread he started took off in an off topic tangent because people want free stuff and the producers dont want to give stuff away for free when it costs them to produce it.
Rocking took things personally. No one told him to stop hosting sample clips. No one told him to shut down his site. If he chooses to do so, then the decision is his and is nobody's "fault" Don't pass the blame off on someone just because they started a thread on a different topic.
To host clips or videos that are currently available for purchase without the producers permission is wrong. Plain and simple. to obtain permission and to get sample clips to share is easy if you take a little time.

Jokes apart, my friend.. i understand that my speech may seem too sweet, but it's exactly what i feel now...i'm simply and sincerely sad for what i'm seeing every day here in the forum...you should know i'm not a liar indeed,and i hope you REALLY think what you said later in your post, since you were with me at the Daibouken's time...do you remember?
I've only given my personal warning...no one will gain from this war...the producers risk to lose a lot of forum users (and then of potential, or already users of their sites), being too tough with the sporadic clip posters..i hope we're not going toward a terror era, in which everyone will be scared posting any clip...frighten people, and you will kill the forum...
On the other site, i think the real problem is: everything must be done with MODERATION. I've mountains of tickling stuff (like nearly everyone here, including the producers, i think), and, like nearly EVERYONE, i haven't payed for ALL my clips...(and it not prevented me from being a Tickletown member and buying a lot of clips from TIB or Tickleparty)...the point is...i'll never post DOZENS of clips weekly, simply because i think it would damage the producers,resulting in reduced profits for them, AND then in a reduced number of new clips...perhaps it's what the Rocking did,shifting the balance between freely promoting paysites and damaging them toward the last one...however,i don't want to bee too critic with him, since i consider him a good guy (NEITHER a thief, NOR a criminal..use this words for people who truly deserve them)!!! I think he should reopen his nice site,agreeing with the producers for a maximum of new clips/month!!!
I hope the producers will pronunce them about my proposal...and for the Rocking..if you agree to do so, i swear to donate you A LOT of rare Magic cards!!! between us, i'm also a Magic player, and i divided my cash between Magic cards and tickling clips!!!

The problem is that there is a lot of hatred out there right now, and yes, that is HATRED. Speaking for myself, I used to be fair minded about this but now I have been shoved into the anti-corporate camp by those who feel it is there way or the highway. They are deaf and dumb and fail to understand anything, no matter how eloquent it is put, siezing instead upon the few who think everything should be free and putting us all in the same "deadbeat" box. Logic fails them utterly, and their supreme arrogance makes enemies out of those who would try and understand their point of view. Then they blame those who point this out for Rocking shutting down his site, in an almost Stalinist move of shifting blame. I would rather not come here and make posts like these - I think we all come here to relax and enjoy some R&R, but anyone who sits idly by while their country, or cyberspace, becomes a police state, is complicit. I think pretty much everything has been said on this subject in multiple posts here. Obviously this is a touchy subject, and with good reason. We aren't all going to agree on this, as is obvious by the way these posts go around and around endlessly. All we can do is lament, and I am done with that as well. Buh-bye.

Not golfers fault
Some of the producers decided to shamelessly change the topic and tune of his post; and I do agree that this use to be a spot to post clips...not advertisements to url's for people to pay. tickletheater.com is a much better spot to see samples now...plus there are a few people with similar generosity as the Rocking over there...who haven't been tag teamed yet to stop sharing.

You know what? I actually do come here to see advertisements and commercial url updates. I like buying clips. Now, if it bothers you, you can make a case that commercial clips and 'pro bono' clips should be segregated into seperate sections. In fact, maybe the mods should mull that over, since for reasons I don't pretend to understand (and I'm not being sarcastic), it genuinely does make some people angry that producers are advertising in the same section of the forum where free clips are posted.
There seems to be a notion that if the commercial producers did not exist, then there would be more free content. I think that exactly the opposite is the case. I simply do not share the nostalgia of the days before there was plentiful commercial fare on the Internet. In fact, I remember the Ticklemaster's site. It was the only place I could find tickling material on the Internet. This was back in 1996 or 1997. I remember the original Tickletown. I remember desperately trying to find tickle-related content in magazines and videos sold in the remaining porn shops in 42nd street in NYC. I remember wading through the Spam-filled newsgroups for a jpeg here or there. And I remember finding Magic Touch for the first time. His free clips were great, but I knew that it wouldn't last unless there was demand. I bought 4 videos pretty fast. I feared going back to those dark ages, and I still do. And I know I'm not the only one. So while the commercialization of this fetish bothers some people, I'm trying to share why it doesn't bother me, and I welcome it.
I also disagree that the mods should gag or end this discussion, or the Golfer has done anything wrong. In fact, I think some things are being said by folks on both sides that have been building up for a while. And that is the whole point of a discussion forum.

I agree with your comments; maybe I'm incorrect, but I was always under the impression that producers would post their ads/promos under the "links/page updates" portion while the video clips uploaded for the community to view would be under the video clips portion.
