It's only 40-something degrees here, which I'm sure is better than many of you are facing, but this is Florida, and it's been dipping into the 20's at night. Again, I'm sure that isn't squat compared to what many of you are dealing with, but when you live down here, you accept a certain cosmic bargain: You'll deal with the possibility of getting wiped off the planet by a hurricane for four months out of the year, and in return, you're supposed to have some sort of guarantee that you won't need more than a tee-shirt and maybe a hat the rest of the time. Dammit.

By next week, we'll have daily highs jusssst barely in double-figures (though the wind chill'll knock that down to what feels like below zero) with overnight lows in the negative single-digits. It's so cold, I leave the frozen pizzas outside in my car while I'm at work.

Below freezing right now in SE PA. Supposed to go to clear up to 45 over the weekend (WOW Heatwave!).
I'm scheduled to go up to Buffalo NY next April. They have gotten three feet of snow because of lake-effect storms. Hope they see asphalt by March.
