Wow!
Okay, right from the start, you're working with a shady premise: They've taken the infamous Jack the Ripper slayings in London and turned him into a kidnapper/tickler. Not good.
Still, for the near-zero budget, they do a satisfactory job of creating a 19th century costumed tickle drama, I mean, for what you're buying...
Jack in this is this guy in a tophat and coat with an all-round dapper manner. And a Mexican-wrestler-style mask. No, really!* He doesn't shut up much, but is pretty good with the running banter and teasing while doing his thing with the model captives.
Sadly, whateverthehell this guy's thing is, it damnsure ain't ticklin'! This is bottom-of-the-barrel tickling. Not the very worst I've ever seen committed to film, but way on down there.
Perhaps made all the more regrettable for me due to the creepy premise. If you are already working with that twisted plot, go for the throat! Don't fuck around with little goose-feathers("Ha Ha! Now face you're doom!"). Bullshit.
I can certainly see why so much disdain is heaped-on Cal Stars, now that I've seen this crap. That decent one, "Le Tickle Shoppe" was apparently a fluke.
*And it works! I'd've never thought it, but I think I have Halloween `05 figured-out already!
