This month's munch was for the most part successful, but some issues came up that will need to be resolved.

This munch was very well attended - *six* people showed up! Most of those who came had been to one of the previous munches. The new folks that came saw the FetLife event and were close enough to the venue to check it out. We got some great suggestions regarding how to increase attendance and other places to hold munches.

Which brings me to the issues that came up. There were two. For starters, I didn't do my duties as host very well this time. One of the folks attending was hard of hearing, and I did not make an effort to ensure people made themselves understood to that person. That, combined with the noisy environment, made that person isolated from the group, and they left not long after getting there.

And now for issue two: the venue was clearly not suitable for a group meeting. The place was packed and pretty noisy. This made it that much harder to communicate freely.

So here's the takeaway: The munch had record attendance (more than one), and I'm gonna do another munch - but the location will change. This hosting business is something I need to get better at, and I will work on it.
