Java Update Available Icon On My Computer-Should I Take It?

I noticed early this morning that there is a "Java Update Available" icon on my computer. I just updated my Java a couple of months ago, and it is working fine. Should I install the current Java update, or just leave it alone, since all seems okay?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think that's the best advice anyone can give. I don't know how important Java is, as I don't even have it installed on my own PC.

Thanks, Nige. I only have Java in order to get into the chatroom, but I wont install this update.

As of my last convo with the bossman...

the current Java update 6.12 is not compatable with the Chat room. If you are not using chat room.. no problem. Right now I would not go anyhigher than version 6.10

Thanks, ft, and as I can get into the chat, I wont install the version thats being offered, and will just ignore it.
