This could either work well or be the greatest work of anti-nostalgia the world has ever seen. From the look of it, it's not a major production, so I'm betting on it working well.

Good question. I found two website articles about this site but that's about it. I wish they'd post more information.

It is supposed to be a modern adaptation. I think so long as the spirit of the characters is still there, does it matter much if their hair is different? Except for Jem, of course. The pink look's spot-on to me.

Like Micheal B. Jordan as Johnny Storm: So long as he's still a hothead flirt with a heart of gold and smart mouth, who cares if he's african american?

I have to disagree 100%. This is supposed to be JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS not a MODERN adaption of the series. I have no problems with them basing the costume designs on the 80's style of the cartoon because to be perfectly blunt, it's was totally awesome. See the attached pic to this post. THAT to me is an appropriate Jem. However the director/producer team appear to be doing their own damn thing though and apparently they haven't even consulted the cartoon's creator on anything. Such a huge let down.
