Jewell and Summer
Summer Glau (who plays River Tam) spends almost all of t he series and a great deal of the movie barefoot, and Jewell Staite (Kaylee) shows off her feet quite a bit too.
I used to be frustrated by mainstream sci fi where female characters simply refused to go barefoot- and I'm not talking 'sandles' here- please! That's just not the same thing!
I had to wait for season Seven of Buffy before SMG appeared Barefoot in around 5 or 6 episodes, but each was barely a two minute scene. In firefly, we had not just one but two characters who regularly got their socks off on camera- more so Summer than Jewell.
The movie 'Serenity' was wonderful, and a must for any barefoot fans (but then, so was 'Panic Room' with Jodie- 95% of the movie in pyjamas and bare feet). My advice ? Go and see it. Even if you've never seen 'Firefly', the TV show that Serenity came from. you don't need to see it to appreciate the film, and certainly not to appreciate Summer's footwear dress code (undress code?)
best entertainment in the cinemas this year alone !!!!(my opinion)

Thank you Master Cartman!!! I have been hoping for someone to post some pics of the women from "Firefly" for some time now. I remember watching this particular episode & thinking that the dude that plays Simon is the luckiest mofo on the planet! Jewel's feet on his lap & face?! My god! Kaylee was/is definitely one of my favorite characters from the show/movie ( although , they're all such good characters ... it's kinda hard to pick one fave ). I think in the pilot episode , there were a couple more shots of her barefoot. Thank you so much for posting these. Jewel has devastatingly beautiful feet & her toes are to die for!
