A little boy comes home from Hebrew school and announces he has been chosen to appear in the class play, about Jewish family life, playing the father. His mother and maternal grandmother, who also lives with the family, are loudly overjoyed at the young genius's success.
And his father says quietly, 'So why didn't you hold out for a speaking part?'
This got no response when I put it in the "Are Jewish Women Second Class Citizens' thread in the Politics and Religion forum, but dammit, I like it!!
