Yuri is awesomely hot. I, for one, actually like the detail of the onlookers in the background, as it helps establish the whole atmosphere - the woman in the background on the right definitely gives off a sense of enjoying these two and their torment on the auction block.

I've always been a big fan of Jipsy... great stuff. And yeah, looking back in the crowd the women seem to be far more emotive - where the men are all in a trance. LOL!

I'm curious... Did you completely change your color palette, or are they so desaturated because they're in a bright spotlight?

@Bella- A little bit of both, actually. The base colors were changed to compensate for the fact that I would be using a spot light effect. But the desaturated look is mostly due to the lighting effect. Also, our color settings on our monitors might be very different. I have two monitors, one for artwork and a primary which is my television. The television actually has a smaller range of colors so it looks more desaturated than on the monitor I actually do the coloring on, which drives me nuts. Out of curiosity, how desaturated would you say the pic looks on your monitor? Are the colors at least identifiable or are they more along the lines of grey?

Oh, I completely understand the issue with monitors. Jamie's recently tried getting into art, and he's taken to digital coloring, too. I'll send him my color palettes for our characters, and when I go to look at them on his computer they all look too yellow or too gray. I could easily tell that it was Jipsy and Yuri, but when compared to say, your avatar of Jipsy... the feline looks perhaps a bit less a redhead than pinkish. Yuri doesn't look too changed, though, but then she's got lighter shades to begin with.

By the way, damn good comeback, too. I'd be completely out of line not to give you kudos for the job done on it.

I'd recommend the red hair and peach skin version of Jipsy myself as to me that was the smexist version. ^_~
