While I know JPie is already gone to retrieve her new gift of life, I wish to say this now since it just entered my mind and I don't want to forget about it. I hope this thread is kept alive and active enough so that she sees it when she arrives back home.
While SOME of you and others' outside of our community may be thinking that "there are plenty of homeless needy children/babies right here in the United States that need good homes too, why go to Columbia"?
Well the obvious is that there are homeless and needy children/babies all over the world and perhaps there are no worthy wouldbe "parents" in these other countries.
There is less beuracratic red-tape propaganda in a Foreign county than right here in the big bad strong USA where there is more concern with bank account sizes and or the "Hightest Bidder".
In some cases in certain foreign lands, the strict 'background" checks are done to see if the would be Parents are truly willing and worthy and are deserving. Well we all know JPie fits that mold easily.
Here in the United States, we have to not only do THAT background check but in addition to , thousands upon thousands of "Criminal" backgrounds have to be performed from 'Arson' to "Child Molestation" to "Pediphiles" to "Child Pornogrophy" to "Murder" "Slavery" etc etc.
These are the investigations and background checks that are done on the petitioning parents.
Not that there are none of those in other countries but right know I am talking of JPie(and her husband, although I have never met the man)
who are deserving of the pleasure and joy of adopting an beautiful baby.
While it would have taken years here she conquered in way less time.
Knowing Columbia......it is people like JPie who could be giving a chance to a little person to grow up not becoming a Drug Lord but a Captain if Industry.
Knowing the United States, to some, there's not much difference. A comodidy is a comodity. Including the needy children that are in need of homes.
One from another land will grow up, appreciating what we have here and so take for granted getting lost in a whirlwind with an escape yet not taken.
JPie and husband and others like them have found their way.
And Deservedly so.
