Jump Rope Songs!

I have been recently obsessed with jump roping songs. You know, those little jingles you or your pals sing while somone jumps? They were such a great part of my elementary school days...

So! Please post them! Your songs! Do you remember them? I'm sure you remember a few! 😛

(At this point you'd count how many doctors until the jumper stopped!)

Little Dutch Girl

I'm a little Dutch girl dressed in blue,
and here is what I like to do.
Bow to the captain, (The jumper would bow.)
curtsey to the Queen, (The jumper would curtsey.)
and turn my back on the dirty submarine! (The jumper would turn around.)

((My dad taught me this one- he's half Dutch. :teehee🙂)

Sammi: Hehe! For some reason it's easy for me to imagine you gagging at the sound of the other girls singing their songs. It's part of your charm. :happy:

AnnieHall: I've never heard the "Candies and cookies" one... but how could I forget "Teddy Bear?!" XD

I remember one from many eons ago:

High, low, medium, slow
Jolly old pepper, which do you choose?

The song repeats until the jumper trips on one of those. High is when the rope is spun high, low is very low, medium is a decent pace and slow is, well, slow. Jolly old pepper is as fast as the turners can get the rope to circle.

Oooh! We used to have a song just like that! It wasn't quite the same though. Darn I can't remember it. I just remeber the girls swinging the ropes screaming "Red Hot Chilli Peppers!"
