This is always a wonderful thread, especially for newbies.

Like Drew70, Time Square had a major impact for me-but luckily I was only 15, and I discovered everything just as my sexuality was really becoming known to me-I never had time to wonder if I was alone in the interest. I had the same figure I do now and thus had no trouble getting past the XXX store owners; the very first time I ventured out I found an excellent Tied and Tickled vid and the Tickling Times magazine. Bought 'em both with ALL my afterschool job money and never looked back 😎 .

The internet didn't come until 10 yrs later, when a vanilla girlfriend took me up to UVM campus to show me the 'net for the first time. I punched 'tickling' into a serach engine and found Tukano's Island and TickleGal's site. Again, never looked back. Still, the most important move for me was writing to a guy named Max Speer about a post he'd made on a newsgroup. He wrote me back and eventually we began to speak on the phone, and next thing I knew I was attending NESTs and making videos and...and...and the rest is history 🙂

I was aware of my tickle desires in early adolescence, and didn't realize I was part of a bigger community until I saw some tickling scenes in bondage magazines 20 years ago.

The internet has been a great way for shy people to realize they are not so weird, they just have a different sensuality.

...That's because the answer is all if not most of us! I know it certainly applies to me, and everyone I've ever talked to at a Gathering or similar function tells a similar tale. (Except DVNC, but he's the exception to many a rule, ain'tcha Daverino?🙄 )

Huh? What? Who invoked me? Ah, Danimal. Heck, I just got lucky wit' deviant kindergarten classmates, brother. Was another kid that thought up the game that got us into a storage closet playin' "Tickle Toy Masters" I was into it already, but before socialization, who cares what others do, y'know? By the time my first year of public socializin' was done, I was playin' in our kink. Played ever after. Got lucky, far as I can figure, 'cause, after dozens of gatherings and hundreds of stories read and heard, most of us don't know there are others. I knew from 5 on.

Makes them events a reunion for me. Makes 'em more special 'cause I can bring the joy to friends, old and new. All that, and I have a passel o' folks that call me friend now, that didn't know me 7 years ago. There's somethin' mighty pleasin' about the scores of friends found over the last 7 years. It's triple bonus that my dazzlingly ticklish new wife found me through my efforts to connect wit' everyone. Reaffirmed for me that it really is as I always thought.

It's all about the love. Y'give a little, y'get a little. Y'give a lot, and you end up married to a really ticklish foreigner and blissin' heavily.

Let's face it, kiddies. We're not so wild, overall. Some of us have extra interests BEYOND just tickling, but the tickling deal is simple and easy. It's just a major bonus to find someone who's as into receivin' it as you are into givin' it. If ya don't find that, y'gotta negotiate fair trade ("I'll wear the funny outfits and go to your wild nightclub if you let me tickle you for an hour"). Simple fair play. Works wit' lovers, too.

Here's a better one! I didn't even know this "kink" existed or that I HAD it until I got on-line doing research. Ive always been fascinated by it but never really thought of it in "kinky" terms. Since I found this place, I have really been able to relax and come out of my ticklish shell.

Oh I love it when this comes up! September 1996 I typed "THAT" word into the search engine and Voila! REAL people with REAL websites who are into tickling. Oh My God! It scared me and intrigued me at the same time!

I NEVER told anyone I was into this. I always felt I was pretty twisted to fantasize so much about being tied down and tickled.

Now, several years later, I've hosted many a gathering in my home and attended even more. I've made life long friends in the community who love this stuff as much as I do. I've met some of the most wonderful people I could ever want to meet who enjoy spending time with the tickling but also enjoy the other "vanilla" parts of life. I've built bondage equipment and even traveled to gatherings in several other states even helping to play Hostess at several NEST events. I get to spend time with DVNC, Max, Mike, Andy, Affectionate Dan, Hawkikim, Lite, Kwildoctr, Jen, Linda, Jonathan, John, Jude, Sunrise, Pete, Kate, Rob and so many more that I can't even begin to name everyone who is so dear to me.

Oh how I wish I had met you all so much earlier in my life. But now I just cherish each moment we get to spend together as well as the memories of times we've already enjoyed because you make me feel fulfilled!

Ah, Life. Ain't it a Wonderful thing!

To me tickling was just another thing to surpress. I knew there must others out there somewhere who had this strange urge to tickle. I did not really think about tickling but somehow I could remember every tickle I ever saw. I knew tickling was going on all around but I thought it was just never talked about. It is sexual and people just don't talk about sexual things where I live. About a year ago I started to put everything together. I stopped supressing it and started to look passively for more tickling. That was when I saw Howard Stern use his tickle chair for the first time. It was the hottest thing I had seen since the tickle fights I saw in high school. I watched the show everyday until he brought the tickle chair back which he did a few months later. That was when I got the idea to put tickling into a search engine. Everything since then has just been great.

I for one was very surprised! No men I've ever dated or been involved with seem to like tickling🙁 One guy that I got involved with and things was getting serious, I finally told him🙁
😕 He thought that was odd and did not care for it, so things didn't work out.
I didn't know until the Internet and finding TMF the other men share this and women too! I wasn't the only one and it felt great!
I was glad to find that out now I am not ashamed and I don't think I am weird or odd any more!🙂
