Sometimes it is; it depends on the particular version of the sawing trick.

In the "sawn in thirds" version, the tickling is usually real and the feet belong to the actual model.
In some "sawing train" and "clearly impossible" tricks, the tickling is real, but they tickle the "leg double".

Part of the fun is telling which is which.
