People often ask me whats the point of tying a naked women to your bed if you are only going to tickle her. I agree with the stuff you said about tickling and laughter, but I tend to disagree with some of what you said about BDSM.

Now, first and foremost, I have ZERO experience in the BDSM lifestyle, and it's not something I think I would ever be interested in experiencing, but it is extremely interesting to me, so I do like to learn about it.

That having been said, what I have picked up about BDSM so far is that while it does often involve pain and humiliation on the surface, it's deeper than that. D/s activities require an amazing amount of trust and communication.

You might not be laughing, but I'm sure there's a mix of feelings, you're body is experiencing something, maybe pain, that your mind is translating into pleasure, much like we do with tickling, and your body may very well be twisting and turning and reacting to the stimulus. And a huge part of BDSM is the relinquishing of control.

I'm not saying I disagree with what you're saying about tickling. I just wanted to make the two points that BDSM is deeper than just pain and humiliation, and that tickling and BDSM can be much more similar than you think. Oh, and if you're tying someone up, that automatically makes it bondage. I agree that it might not be as hardcore as some of the bondage you see on strictly bondage fetish sites for example, but it's bondage nonetheless. 🙂

Then how do you account for the multitude of us who enjoy tickling because of inflicting suffering and humiliation? I think your view is a very narrow one, and doesn't at all preclude tickling as BDSM.
