Just to put some rumors to rest about my health

First, Thank you so much everyone for the lovely notes, letters, phone calls and the flowers. My heart is warmed by your concerns and your prayers. (No it wasn't my heart that caused the problem!)

As several of you know, or have heard, I've been kinda sick lately. I've had a couple of 911 visits to the hospital and surgery. I have to say that I had quick response from the paramedics and ambulances, the best of care in the hospital, and a warm loving, caring family to watch over me. I even told one ambulance gal that she gives good IV! Needless to say it's been an interesting 6 weeks.

Although I'm better, I'm not quite 100% and I'm still pretty uncomfortable so I go in tomorrow for another procedure and an overnight stay. I don't know what the recovery period will be this time. (I kinda surprised them when I went back to work 12 days after surgery last time but they can't keep a good woman down for long!)

So don't fret. This will be a relatively easy procedure, and if all goes as expected I'll be back on my feet (no pun intended) and fiestier than ever!

QB - I had no idea. I'm sorry to hear you haven't been well, but I'm glad to know you are on the way to recovery.

Rest up and take it easy. Don't wander the hospital halls dressed only in that gown they give you. (You'll feel a breeze in your BVD's.) 😉

ok guys.. What are BVD's? I've always heard that term having to do with briefs or something but I've never known what it actually meant. Must be a guy thing!

I didn;t know you were not feeling well so I am glad I clicked on this subject because I wanted to express that you were the first person that hubby and I met at a Sacramento brunch and I have been meaning to tell you that I just felt so welcome ,comfortable when we met,you reached out and gave me a hug when you found out who I was 😉. Just want to tell you how much I ADORE you, and even though we haven;t talked much since then ,that I wish we were still in contact 😉. It's finally over!

I got home from the hospital yesterday after the procedure. It went very well but I ended up staying a bit longer than expected due to the problems the doctor had to fix. Although I'm still pretty sore the doctor was able to clear up everything. The good news is that he didn't have to cut me from the outside. He was able to do everything with the scope inside so I'm just left with a raspy voice.

It was like old home week at the hospital seeing the same nurses and staff so although it was a hospital visit I had a great time catching up with everyone. They are just fabulous.

I'll be fiesty as ever next time we meet!

BVD refers to Bradley, Voorhees and Day, three guys who started a company that makes underwear.

I knew you had been having some problems recently, but I didn't realize that they were still ongoing. I hope that the worst is over and that you are, and will be, doing much better.

The only other rumor I heard was that you had been replaced by Billy Shears.
