Just venting about some stupidity I was witness to tonight

Ever see something that was so irritating it made you want to chew your own leg off just to distract yourself from it?
We went to the mall tonight as we do a few times a week for a little walk before loitering at Borders. Well they just opened a new Lego store there (which I have to say is really cool) so we went in to check it out.
There were a number of kids there but I didn't really pay them any mind. I just steered my daughter over to play at one of the little tables with a boy her age while I looked around.
It wasn't long before a rather large group of kids...I say kids but they were probably 11 through 13 or so...started taking the foam swords and shields and hatchets (I think they were there for Halloween) and play fighting with them. And I mean they were really hitting eachother HARD with them.
It wasn't them being loud that irritated me but this blatent and utter disrespect for the store's property really disgusted me. Seriously these aren't toys meant to handle that kind of abuse and they were steppingonthem when they dropped them, etc. Not to mention them coming perilously close to running my daughter and the other smaller kids over.
I felt badly for the people working there. They were all quite young and probably in their first days at their first jobs and didn't know how to handle it.
Anyway...that's all. I was just seriously upset at this cause I know even the "bad" kids when I was that age didn't do stuff like that. They weren't purposfully vandalising the place and didn't seem to be getting their kicks from doing something they knew was wrong they just didn't care at all that this was someone else's property. They didnt seem to care about anything but themselves and this free play area they thought they had found. And really that just pissed me off.

Anyway, ranting over. Could someone just restore my faith inhumanity and tell me that they have kids that wouldn't pull crap like that? I mean, even my 3 year old daughter was horrified and said "Those kids are being bad!"

That pretty much explains why I don't have kids, don't want kids, and ain't going to have kids 🙂 My fuzzy bunnies are cleaner, quieter, cuter, and less bothersome 🙂

Our kids know better, or at least would ask fisret (7 and 9 yrs old). Irritates me to no end how somw parents let their kids go uncontrolled like that....

I think I would have staged a fight, to keep the blighters in lines. Organize them in cohorts and let them assault each other in an orderly fashion.

And them, we'd lie siege to the mall, capture the ladies and extort the whereabouts of the inner sanctum with tickle-torture.

Aye, 'tis a fine day to lead my lance of kids-at-arms to glory and battle.

A good smack in the head would teach them to behave properly. Not the kids, the parents!

If it's any consolation to you, what you witnessed at the mall were the future burger flippers and gas pumpers of America.

Of course I live in a very wealthy area (dont ask me how cause I sure dont fit the criteria) so they're more likely to go straight to a university Daddy pays for and never have the opportunity to learn the humility of having a low level job. Nothing inspires a kid to reach higher than flipping burgers than actually having to DO it for a few years. 😛

I say that there ought to be a law that no matter what their parents station in life is, kids should either have to work a menial job or do some sort of military or social service...jus to put the spoiled little shits in their place....!!

...and also take the key's to their Bimmers away and give them to those that actually have the maturity to drive them.... but then that's jus me...!!

Wait thats only a few yrs ago, anyway my dad thought he was still in the German army. He made sure that me and my brother were kept in line, personally i think a clip behind the ears for the both parents and children will fix the problem.

We can thank Dr.Spock(not Mr.Spock... he's cool) for ruining everything with his no-discipline is the better way theries.Parents blame everything on A.D.D these days instead of blaming themselves for being milktoast parents,then they drug the kids up with riddolen to top it off.All these brats need is a good old fashion ass-wupping to solve the problem.
