I have heard some people say "Im not ticklish". Does anyone here, know of anyone or they themselves not ticklish? Also to all you ticklers out there from your own experiences, what percentage of people out there do you believe are between pretty ticklish to extremely ticklish?

hmm
my ex girlfriend was not ticklish, it was very frustrating. i seriously tried every way of tickling, (light, kneeding) and every area she didn't even flinch. if she was ticklish she would probably at least look nervous when i went near a certain spot but no. and once i said "your not very ticklish are you" and she said no not at all. i was pretty discreat on doing these things but got no results.
=( but i moved on and my new girl is very ticklish so i'm a happy camper.

In my years I've met a few people who are almost totaly not ticklish. I say almost, as there is almost always a place or two that one can get a tickle like response from, though not always laughter.
I've only knew one woman who was totaly non responsive. Nothing, no place. Human variety, the spice of life!

/I've only known one person who didn't respond to tickling. That was underarm and rib poking, so I couldn't say how she'd have resonded to more exhaustive efforts, though she claimed not to be ticklish.
It would be hard for me to say what percentage of folks are pretty vs extremely ticklish. I guess I need to tickle more folks to get data in the name of research! hehe

I dated a guy just after high school who was very much into tickling...actually, the first person I knew who was openly into it. Though he loved to tickle me, he was only ticklish behind his ears and at the base of his toes...nowhere else! Pretty hard to get at them during tickle fights! 🙁
Oh well. At least I married someone as ticklish (all over) as I am! hehehe

I knew a girl that had a crush on me, and I noticed she didn't seem to be ticklish when other guys tickled her. She seem to be unaffected and told them to stop touching her.
One time she was getting cute with me and got her feet way to close to me and I thought to let "one with the bloodline of a tickler" give it a go. And she lost it. After she faught me off, I questioned her as I thought she wasn't ticklish. She stated, "Those guys don't know how to tickle and besides you weren't tickling me." Then she gave me a smirk.
Unfortunately I never got the chance to again as she went her own way.
Also knew a gal that was only ticklish if her husband was tickling her
feet. She use to say how the neighborhood teens that would come over have tried to tickle her feet when she's on the couch and nothing. But when he does it, she can't handle it.
Also.. the woman that played Counsler Troi sd she was only ticklish if her husband tickled her. So I've seen this odd pattern before.
Interesting thread. I'm not ticklish but I wonder if a gal who really loved tickling and tried.. if I would be. Hmmm, I'll always wonder about that. 🙂

Even though I agree with the fact that the tickler's technique and his/her "realtionship" with the person being tickled is of uttermost importance, I do have to say that there are people who are indeed not ticklish.
You can always find a sensitive spot that would make them squirm or react to a light touch or a poke. However, you will probably not get hysterical laughter out of them.
I am also not very ticklish. I love to be tickled lightly all over (if it is done harder it hurts me), but I will not laugh. I will squirm and love every minute of it, but you will not get a laugh out of me.
This sometimes comes against me, because when I am tickling somebody they want to respond and I do not laugh. Hence, they feel like it is not fair. In some case, I have to concentrate to be more ticklish so that they would see a reaction.
On the other hand, I find it very frustrating when I try to tickle someone and she is not sensitive. It is such a turn off. However, I understand that not everybody is going to be ticklish.
So, my mission is to find women who have ticklish feet and who ejoy being tickled. How is that for a mission?

most of my family is ticklish, so i guess ticklishness might be passed on...or some people can control the tickling better than others

I've never had a girlfriend who wasn't ticklish, but I had one who swore she wasn't ticklish on her feet. Sure as hell, I tied her up and she was ticklish eveywhere but there. It took a few times, but I finally discovered that her feet were ticklish if a vibrator was used on her soles. She never felt tickling from her feet before, so it was a long evening....😀
